Libs everywhere are saddened by the survival of our brave service people.

P-3.
Damn! Another one lost! We got equipment on that plane!.................
Prayers up to our affected warriors and their families.
Ouch!
Hope the tube rats avoided the ball cutter going out over the wing.
Prayers that the crew is unhurt.
The article states:
“...none of the crew was seriously hurt, the U.S. military said. One crew member suffered a broken ankle.”
As in the case of the USS Washington, the info provided is not always complete or accurate. I’m looking for anyone who has reliable complete or accurate information. Specifically, if it was truly a case of overrunning the airstrip.
from U.S. Forces Afghanistan
10/21/2008 - KABUL, Afghanistan -- A Navy P-3 Orion airplane overshot the runway surface while landing at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, early today.
The airplane sustained serious structural and fire damage. Bagram-based emergency-response units took action on scene to extinguish the fires.
The entire crew survived, though one U.S. crew member suffered a broken ankle and was treated at Craig Joint Theater Hospital on Bagram.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
Any landing you can walk, or hobble, away from is a good landing. This one was just a little rough.
Giving thanks that the crew is OK. We can build another plane, or a hundred of them if we have the will.
Although I suspect that this one either won't be replaced, due to budget constraints, or if it is, it'll be by a refurbished/updated one out of the boneyard.
