Undecided
David Sedaris in Ann Arbor, MI ^ | October 16, 2008 | David Sedaris

Apparently, the New Yorker does not allow links to its site; so my attempt to post an article by David Sedaris entitled "Undecided" was blocked. So instead I will tell of a reading that Sedaris did for a packed Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, MI last week. There he read this very same text, except that he explained that he had lobbied the NY very hard to use the term "human sh*t" rather than "platter of sh*t" when referring to John McCain. Apparently, that was just a bit toooo much for the NYorker editors. Otherwise, it was the identical text. So if you want to know just how vulgar the left can be, just go find the article "Undecided" posted on the NYorker web site.

Try to imagine if anyone on the right compared BO to "human sh*t."

I attended U of M and lived in the People's Republic of Ann Arbor.

Remember this University gave us Tom Hayden and Bill Ayers so don't be too surprised.

I was really glad to move back to Detroit because it seemed moderate in comparison.

I went to middle school and high school with David, and was good friends with him as we were both of Greek descent. In fact his little brother Paul (aka The Rooster) installed my new hard wood floors last year.

Having said that I find it very, very sad that my old friend has gone so far to the left side. But then again what do I expect from someone who has called Paris “home” for the last decade.

GO MCCAIN!!!!

Katdaddy, Your old friend Sedaris is an interesting fellow. I enjoy reading/hearing him, notwithstanding some of the utter nonsense he spews. No one dragged me to see his show.

If you know him, tell him to write something different next time around. I don’t mean politically. I just mean that he needs to take up a new challenge. His books aren’t repetitive, of course, and of course they are funny/enjoyable. But he keeps going to the same well.
