Marines Recruiting Office Protest and Counter-Protest

Yes, they're at it again. Supporters and detractors of the United States military battled it out in Berkeley for at least the sixth time this year: the latest in a relentless series of protests and counter-protests trying to seize the upper hand in the controversy over the "Marine Corps Officer Selection Office" on Shattuck Square.

Today's Summer Solstice showdown featured Move America Forward, the Marines Motorcycle Club, the Patriot Guard Riders and other veterans' and pro-America groups facing off against their traditional adversaries: World Can't Wait, Code Pink, the Revolutionary Communist Party, assorted 9/11 Truthers, far-left activists and their fellow travelers.






They look left, we look right. Ever notice how wholesome Conservative females look?

If you expect such 'harmless' protest from San Fran and Berkeley, perhaps a journey to the Heartland and Bill Ayers office is in order.

Michele has been with us fighting for conservatism every step of the way. She stood strong on Iraq, on immigration, on spending & pork, on the Paulson bailout, on SCHIP, and is staunch defender of the culture of life. She has a Sarah Palin-like spark to her.

To paraphrase Abraham Lincoln when talking about General Grant.....we can’t spare this woman, she fights!

She won this race by 8 pts in 2006 against a better known and financied Democrat. The last poll I saw put her up 8 pts again, and that was last week. Is there anything suggesting she is in real trouble except the drive-bys constantly saying that she is? I wouldn’t necessarily trust the HuffPo, MSNBC, or the MN Star-Tribune to be honest brokers here.

Exit question: How many of the 8% that gave Michele her margin of victory in 2006 (a bad year for Republicans) would suddenly flip to the Dem because of this statement? My sense is that most Republicans agree with that statement - I do. Since she won in 2006, that means that most of her voters were conservatives - many independents and moderates went for the Ds. Most of Bachmann’s support is solid, not wishy-washy limp-wristed moderates and flakes.
