“Obama doesn’t have to do squat.”

The comments on this thread about burden of proof have to do with what Obama should be required to do logically and morally, and one might also say legally. The failure of the responsible authorities to require reasonable proof doesn’t alter the fact that it is the candidate who ought to be able to prove his ability to meet the requirements. No voter should have to sue and endure endless procedural delays and difficulties. It shouldn’t be their burden.

While I agree with you on the last point from a theoretical standpoint the reality is no Presidental candidates have submitted birth certificates to run for President. There is no process to force Obama to do anything. To me this should have been like the swiftboat situation. There should have been enough internet attention to put pressure on Obama. But that hasn’t happened. We have less than 2 weeks. tick tick tick
