Brady wants you to think that people are out there running around with disposable AK-47s gunning people down right and left. Mine ain't disposable.
Sucker cost me almost five hundred bucks!

What they will NEVER tell you is that young black men are 11 times more likely to commit murder than whites. And their victims are 10 time more likely to be other blacks than whites. So there are about 1/6 as many young black males as young white males yet they are 11 times more dangerous?
The Baltimore sun published an interactive map that shows this disturbing trend that it is NOT a gun availability problem, but a demographic problem.

GEEEEEZE , I didn’t see any stats on how many crimes , murders , etc. that these weapons have prevented . Imagine that . If Brady had been on the train with Ricky Gates I suppose he would want to ban Amtrac . People kill not guns .

Just taking a quick look, here is the number of officers killed in 2003&2004 with any kind of rifle: 23. In 2005&2006: 11.
http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/killed/2006/table27.html I smell ample amounts of BS here and I think you found the motherlode - they omit the numbers during the ban intentionally to make a non-story. It's hard to duplicate their numbers without finding out what carefully chosen criteria they selected to define "assault rifle," but aggregate rile statistics tell the story.

What percentage of these “military style” homicides were accidental deaths or suicides in the the military and police? One must wonder.
Additionally, how many criminals killed by the police with “military style” weapons were there in these numbers?

You are correct, her son was of age and could have attempted to legally purchase the firearm himself rather than Mom Sarah illegally making the straw man purchase.

Knew it was just a matter of time. Page 17 heavily quotes Zumbo and his tirade against evil black rifles.

I suspect that, statistically, there is no difference in the percent of victims harmed by criminals using military-style semiautomatic assault weapons during the ban, before it, and after it.
Initial indications seem to show that the number of officers shot with rifles went down significantly after the ban expired. Whether this is true of "military-style assault weapons" or not probably depends on how carefully you define military-style assault weapon to skew the numbers. There aren't many law enforcement deaths resulting from rifle shots at all, so it would be very easy to lie with the numbers by selectively narrowing the category further.
Also, doesn't the Brady Bunch count shootings in self defense as homicides?
Basically, yes, they call self-defense murder:

After a very brief look at this - Their footnotes in this
So-called report reference newspaper reports rather than actual statistics. So some so-called "journalist" writing that an "assault weapon" was used to kill a cop is now fact. We all know that "journalists" are firearms experts......< /sarcasm >

Sure is, except her son was of age, but she did make an illegal straw-man purchase, circumventing her own desired background-check mania.

Here it comes again... Yep. I give it 30 days max once Hussein takes office - the other guy taking the oath would be, of course, Joe Biden, poster child for the Brady Bunch - until this newfound respect for citizens' rights to keep and bear arms suddenly starts to grow a couple of significant alterations. "Well, I only meant hunting rifles," for one, and "well, it doesn't apply to anything we can get away with calling an 'assault weapon'" for another (the MSM aiding and abetting for everything it's worth), and finally "nobody is talking about taking anyone's gun away" becomes "we reserve the right to keep anyone from buying any."
This isn't paranoia and it isn't cynicism, it's history. It happened in Great Britain, Canada, and Australia under the same tired deceptions and the same worthless assurances.

I wonder how many were killed by a gun that was illegal (already banned) in the jurisdiction where it was used?

***There are no statistics when a citizen is saved, only when a citizen is murdered.***
Two places to look, both valid:
NRA website
FBI website
Both will give you all the info you need, including stats on how many people were saved by guns.
