Unlike their Ohio sample (+14 dem), this Missouri sample was more realistic.

I'm just saying what I know about the Dem white voters in SE OH, it seems that Obama is going to do very poorly in western PA---probably worse than normal.

We’re in agreement that Obama’s GOTV efforts in states with primaries underwhelmed, and so far through this general election’s early voting his GOTV efforts haven’t exactly wowed anyone (except his fawning media). So I might be placing too much emphasis on it. But I’m not worried so much about his infrastructure in general. I’m talking specifically about Iowa. This is where he started WAY BACK WHEN, putting resources in place. And it paid off for him last January. Although, again, that was a caucus and not a primary.

You mean with all those bitter, Bible-thumping, gun-clinging racists?!? Surely you jest! :-D

Doug TX has the idea of running Obama campaigning in FL with a few Tampa Bay Rays players and running that in PA. I know it’s seems silly but it has got to help some?

I wasn’t trying to disagree with you, just trying to understand where you were coming from. I noted that a worker from the Repubs in Mo. was asked to work in IA. I think I misunderstood it to mean that IA was much closer in the polls for Mac and help was needed for his ground game there. Now you are suggesting that help might be needed in IA to work on media markets bordering IA...well okay then...no need to get sarcastic with me! Now, lets all get McCain elected!

Although, again, that was a caucus and not a primary.

The difference is huge. Much of the hype surrounding Obama's ground game comes from how well he did in caucus states. That's like saying that a player will excel as an NFL quarterback because he happened to be a good Division II college QB. Not necessarily so. And unlike that QB, we actually saw that Obama wasn't that effective in big primary states like PA, OH, or even here in TX (where I can tell you first hand that he ran far more ads than Hillary did). Here in Texas, Hillary cleaned his clock in the primaries despite every expectation that Obama would win here. But the Democrats (yes, we have Democrats here, thankfully not many of them....but I digress) run a goofy two part system, part primary and part caucus. Obama cleaned Hillary's clock in the caucus portion and actually came away from Texas with more delegates.

I apologize for misunderstanding your intent and being snippy.

The person going to work for Missouri was out of state, but was then directed to support Iowa efforts instead. This tells me that Missouri is in good shape for McCain to hang onto, and Iowa is still quite competitive.

That’s what I first thought, but then you made the point about the other media markets as well so my understanding was expanded by your “insistence”...lol!
