...Chuck Schumer, along with Claire McCaskill and John Kerry, responded quickly with a letter to Condoleezza Rice asking her to prevent the deals from going forward until there is an oil-revenue sharing law.
Both Schumer and Kerry are on the Senate Finance Committee; Kerry and McCaskill are both surrogates for Barack Obama, whose campaign has been going after John McCain for McCain’s new, oil company-friendly position on offshore drilling.

That’s BS. I have a video on Powell last year when he was ready to endorse him, but he smiled it off.

As he spoke about knowing McCain many years, meeting with Obama twice and checking him out two years.
It warms my heart that Powell could support someone whose buddy set a bomb at the Pentagon and many other government offices... but i’m sure he had America’s security and Obama not being able to get a security clearance with his associates in mind.

It doesn't. But the UMW (INO) wasn't the sole target. Coal is such an integral part of this state that Cecil Roberts holds a lot of clout. He's saying that McCain, because of some bill he voted for a while back, wants to reduce coal production by more than 70%. He's also saying (yeah,yeah, I know it's a lie) that BHO is FOR clean coal technology. He didn't want to talk about the card check BS however.
Also, BHO is dropping several million dollars (5 I believe) for ads here up to Nov. 4. I realize that's not much by the standards of NY, PA or some other states, but here that buys a LOT of time.
On the up-side, the NRA has some very hard hitting ads starting today.
It’s readily aparent that Powell is doing his penance for his presentation to the UN prior to the Iraq war. Powell is now playing the Washington Insider game. Powell has yet to come clean about his bud, Armitage btw.
