WASHINGTON – Colin Powell will have a role as a top presidential adviser in an Obama administration, the Democratic White House hopeful said Monday.

"He will have a role as one of my advisers," Barack Obama said on NBC's "Today" in an interview aired Monday, a day after Powell, a four-star general and President Bush's former secretary of state, endorsed him.

Powell said he wasn’t looking for a job. He said that he was tired after over 40 years of service. Is 0bomba calling him a liar?

Obama is SUCH a moron. The Powell endoresement was a gift from above. It was a black eye to the GOP. It was well-timed. It made Obama look a bit like a centrist choice...

and he taints the entire thing by making it look like it was bought, for the price of a cabinet post. All Obama had to do was shut his dang trap, and he'd enjoy another small bump in the polls. Instead, he tells the world that the important endorsement was most likely a pay-off. What a dolt. Citizenship, inexperience, religion, anti-patriotism, and past associations aside, this guy (and his team) simply ain't smart enough to handle the White House and all of the necessary diplomacy.

Colin Powell is a dirtbag and he deserves a good kick in the azz. Not because he endorsed a political candidate. He deserves to be kicked in the azz because he went before the UN and the world and made the case for us going to war with Iraq.

HE PUT OUR TROOP’S LIVES IN HARM’S WAY. When you put our soldiers lives on the line, you’d better be right. He was for it and then he was against it. We now have over 4,000 lives that have been lost because he supported us going to war.

He had plenty of information to make an informed decision. If he didn’t agree with the Bush adminstration, he should have said “no” or resigned. There is no way in hell I’d put our soldiers lives on the line unless I was absolutely sure of what I was doing.

We now have soldiers in Iraq and he’s saying that it is wrong to be there. Nice support for our troops you dirtbag.

He was a colossal failure as Secretary of State. I don’t give a damn what he has to say anymore.

NOTE: My post isn’t about if it was right or wrong to go into Iraq. That another debate. It’s about — IF YOU MAKE A DECISION TO GO TO WAR, YOU’D DAMN WELL BETTER BE RIGHT. 4000+ lives later and now this clown says he was wrong? #$%^ HIM!!!

Senator McCain is pleased that General Powell has offered his continued service and hopes that he will provide just as much wise advice and support as he did for Presidents George H.W Bush, and President George W. Bush

History is already revealing the impact of General Powell’s advice on military strategy in “ending” the first Gulf War, reliance upon UN sanction and inpsections, and his advice concerning the presence of WMD’s in Iraq in the continuation of that war in 2002/3

And of course we cannot forget General Powells contribution to President Clinton’s military operations in Somalia and Bosnia

Godpseed General Powell
