I would not be one bit surprised to find out it was Obama operatives (official or not) slashing supporters' tires to make the opposition out to be the thugs that only go to Obama rallies.
In a related development, someone tore up my sister’s McCain/Palin yardsign. It lasted two days.

I’ve heard zip on this. It’s a credit to McCain/Palin to be so stoic, but darn — doesn’t anyone care?

I wonder if Secret Services is trying to keep this quiet for security reasons? They might fear what knuckle dragging republicans might do, or they might think it could egg on more attacks that a campaign bus was that vulnerable. McCain and Palin wouldn’t want to be restricted either. They want to stump more rather than less.
On the other hand, could a paint ball shatter a windshield?

On the windshield...Windshields are tough stuff. I think the article mentioned window, not windshield. A paint ball might penetrate a side window, but don't know about a windshield. Maybe the shooter used a super PB gun. lol..
Looking back, surprised this story seemed to get dropped like a bad habit, given the fact the vehicle was said to have been hit by a firearm.. (.22)
