This is miserable news. The jackasses hold the Pennsylvania Senate by one seat at the moment.

Long time Trenton politician named Plumeri hit a tree too and was killed a few days before.
Believe his wife survived too.
Weird that they sound so similar.

get a court's permission to remove Rhoades' name from the ballot and replace him. if they do that - it may negate the overseas military votes - there would be NO way to get the new ballots to them in time - and for them to return them.
Last election, Rendell came up with a scheme to delay getting the absentee ballots sent to the military in time for them to be counted...
The demRat party has more ways to negate the military vote than Carter has - had? - liver pills/

You are thinking of the State House. The GOP has a pretty solid 28-21 majority in the Senate.

My initial reaction...Gosh, this election is taking a toll on me. My sympathy and prayers for his family... and yes Ex-hip...I am so worn out I fear a recurrance of the shingles. I have never, in all my almost 67 years of life endured such a painful election process...it hurts so to see our Republic die in front of our eyes...!!!

“it said they were returning from some sort of event. first thing that came to my mind: booze.”
Strange you would assume the negative..that booze played a part.
This article said they were enroute to the event...
“Rhoades chief of staff, Champ Holman, said Rhoades was on his way to be honored at Pleasant Valley High School at the time of the crash. Rhoades suffered internal bleeding after his Cadillac collided with a truck on state Route 209 at 7:37 p.m.”

Why do they want to remove his name? Didn’t Senator John Ashcroft lose his seat to a dead Democrat, and the Dems were able to appoint the man’s wife?
That is probably just a priveladge for Democrats though, don’t you think? The same rules never apply to Republicans.
