I heard from a couple (poor, jobless) who came here from Toledo looking for work and a new life. This was weeks B4 the meltdown. I asked her why here and what was wrong with Toledo? She said it was better in small towns here than in Toledo, and the police response time is terrible, like half hour or more if they come at all. It sounds really bad there.
The police will only come out if they can give out a fine or if there is a gun involved. If your car is stolen you have to go downtown to fill out a report because they "don't have the time". However when Toledo city conceal and the mayor passed a smoking band they would send 5 cop cars at a time to a bar to make sure that no one was smoking and give out tickets. They wounder why unemployment is 9.9% here.
