Yep, I’ve made that point for decades.

The response is generally, yeah but Nixon didn’t get them out of there fast enough.

When Johnson left office, there were over about 500,000 troops on the ground in Vietnam. “NIXON’s FAULT!”

One thing that factoid says to me, is this. We have a hard time putting 165,000 troops on the ground in Iraq, about one-third of our capability in 1967.

I’m sure glad we’re not a nation in decline.

Of those 500,000 on the ground 335,000 were there because they were drafted. Of the 165,000 there all joined up of there own free will.

I don’t think we’re in total decline yet, but if Obama takes power, that will be the end. We will need a strong leader to clean the filth out of our government once the citizens realize the disaster that Obama will be. With the right kind of leader and a purging of the traitors and Commies from our government and society, America will be able to once again become the Great Nation it is meant to be.
