Hah, I was thinking of "Animal Farm" just the other day, and was going to bust out my copy of "1984" to re-read it, just in case the elections go bad.

Historically liberal northern senators have a very poor track record trying to win the white house, for democrats southern governors have been the key, southern governors that appear to run as moderates.
Governors are always favored for the white house. Reagan, Carter, Clinton, Bush 43. Governors all.
So we have an uber liberal/socialist junior senator from the north with radical ties, against a moderate experienced senator war hero from the west with a Governor on the ticket. If history is any teacher, Americans will elect McCain.
Exactly the way I feel about the gun control/gun ban rhetoric these two have been spewing their entire political careers. Biden was a gun ban "poster boy" for the Brady Bunch while Obama was still a toddler.
Demrat arguments do not have to be logical, linear or even parallel. Heck, they do not even have to have some basis in truth. Pelosi saying it is 100% sure the Marxist Onada will win; and Biden saying Americans are having a hard time electing an African-American make perfect sense—to a demrat.
We’ll be seeing a lot of these nonsensical explanations from the dems over the next couple of weeks. Ohio is first of swing states to poll for McCain. Indies and blue collar folks are finally deciding who they want for president—IMO.
Looks like NYT is coming out with a hit piece on McCain’s health. But who reads the NYTs? Moreover, compared with the stuff McCain can stick to the Marist Onada it is small potatos. Moreover, the Messiah has never disclosed his health records. What is he hiding? In other words the NYTs piece is easily dealt with.
Meanwhile, McCain has Joe the Plumber and Diane Fanning, real middle class people, taking on the Marxist Onada in his behalf. And it is being recorded and replayed.
Amazing how this presidential campaign’s dynamic has shifted. McCain is talking about real issues and the directon of the country and The Messiah is talking about McCain’s health.
The powell thing really bugs me though...I guess I was convinced that he was a 'good soldier' and actually took sec/state as a mission behind enemy lines...
the mindset of 'black' peoples still amazes me, angry at the crackers that freed em, rather than at the african royalties that sold [and still do SELL them] their ancestors to the highest bidder, in a world where it was [and still is around the world] just a 'big labor' decision...

Powell has always been a closet racist and general asshole. Squantos was most likely “close enough” to confirm. That was the word though in sections where I got first and second hand stories from those around him.

How this insult doesn't make undecideds all flock to McCain is beyond me. And here they are again, saying this stuff out in San Francisco, the same venue as the "clinging to their guns and religion" spouting. If they believe this stuff, why don't they have the guts to say it in the rest of the nation, to the faces of all these folks, instead of condescendingly in SF?
