For a clue about what kind of people Barack Obama would appoint, his current campaign staff is a good place to start. They are experienced, smart, and most noteworthy, his policy people are mostly moderates.

Austan Goolsbee, the University of Chicago economist who is expected to head up the Council of Economic Advisors in an Obama White House, is a centrist who supports free trade. Another campaign advisor, Jason Furman - who will likely head the National Economic Council - previously ran a centrist, pro-trade policy research group founded by former Treasury secretary Robert Rubin.

We will all look at Obama’s cabinet and say to ourselves: “Well that’s not SO bad.” They will have the appearance of a moderate, bipartisan set of learned men and women. The problem is that these folks will have absolutely no role in the Obama government. They will just put a friendly face on a radical, thoroughly left wing group of people who will work tirelessly to destroy capitalism and democracy. You will never know who these people are - they will work in the shadows, behind the happy faces. By the time we find out who they are and what they are up to - it will be too late.

Elections have consequences, big ones in this case.

At Defense, Obama may keep Secretary Robert Gates on board, though he is said to be considering former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Ret. Gen. Jim Jones and Bill Clinton's Navy Secretary Richard Danzig, who serves as an advisor to the Obama campaign. Some believe California Rep. Jane Harmon could also be considered, but her strained relationship with Nancy Pelosi could make this a nonstarter. will go with Colin Powell! There fixed it.

If Obama wins, he will basically only have 2 years to literally destroy any and all opposition to his continued agenda in 2010. Otherwise, he and the liberals in congress will get wiped out by an unprecedented wave of opposition at the polls. His first and primary focus will therefore be on the judicial branch in an effort to quell and suppress any legal challenges that threaten his power. His cabinet will be composed of the most liberal and objectionable figures not to promote his agenda, but rather to act as a distraction of the really more important "changes" he and his "hidden" cronies wish to implement. Obama himself is nothing more than a puppet. The man behind the curtain is the one you need to be worried about.

I just read the first portion of the FBI foia of the Weathermen and I feel really, really, really sick, as in the sick I feel when I read about partial birth abortion.
