On Wed., Feb. 20, ACORN Votes endorsed Illinois Sen. Barack Obama for the Democratic Party’s nomination for president. ACORN Votes is the national political action committee convened by ACORN leadership.
...When Sen. Obama met with ACORN Votes leaders in November, he spoke of his history with ACORN and his beginnings in Illinois as an organizer with Project Vote, a nonprofit organization focused on voter rights and education.
“I come out of a grassroots organizing background,” Obama told members. “That's what I did for three and half years before I went to law school. The reason I moved to Chicago was to organize. So this is something that I know personally, the work you do and the importance of it.”
Obama continued to work with ACORN after he was elected to state office in Illinois and then to the U.S. Senate....

ACORN should be upset at Obama for two reasons.
1. He denies and wont even defend his own Organization.
2. He used young people who believed they were doing something good and used their hardships to promote his own good by giving them money they needed and cigarettes?
Shame on Obama!
They don’t work like that.
It isn’t about ACORN or any of the far left groups, its about getting a socialist/Marxist into office.
Whatever it takes, say anything, do anything, promise anything, just get elected.
These people do not play like we play with a sense of fairness and by the rules, they just want into power - period dot.
Our neighbors were over for dinner last night, and I learned from the wife (who gets all her news from MSNBC) that Obama never had anything to do with ACORN, and that McCain’s connections and involvement in ACORN are very deep and involved. She’s very angry that she’s been cheated out of the American dream. I said “what were you cheated out of, is you Mercedes not nice enough? Is your HUGE house overlooking the water not big enough? Are your numerous annual trips around the world not comfortable enough?”

regardless, Powell will do nothing for Obamas votes....what will do something is if McCain begins to Get Palin out there to talk about Energy and Security...What about our boarders and licenses to illegals. Mccain has got to talk about these things....he has also got to talk about ACORN and Obama’s connection...Obama used these people and used their ignorance to promote himself
Oh I agree with what you’re saying but my point is that ACORN and groups like that expect to be thrown under the bus if necessary to get Obama elected.
McCain needs to pound on the the deeds and associations between them and Obama and not that he threw them under the bus for personal political gain.
Maybe the big wigs at ACORN...simple everyday folk...i dont think so...they will talk if someone puts them in the spotlight...if FOX or Bill ORielly validated their concerns....how they felt being used...they will chirp like a birs....but see Obama gave them significance making them feel like they were doing something worth, something to promote their race....all the while using them to promote his agenda...and his white money friends agenda....this is what has to get out there....even an inkling of doubt can change these voters....they were used.
Obama used them as steps to his alter...they will soon be forgotten....I wish I was an artist to illustrate this....it would not be pretty.....I really feel for the black poor....they get hosed by their own all the time....and nobody helps them to realize their own potential and when they do and start to create something of themselves they are called Uncle Toms and slaves to the white...
Everytime “racist” is muttered by a BHO supporter, it costs him at least 1000 votes!
