Powell endorsed Obama..go figure :)No cares. Good riddance.
I am disgusted such a military leader as General Powell no less would back a man such as Obama who would do nothing more than embarrass our armed forces and deny them of needed equipment and deserved respect. General Powell has not only shown his true colors but has separated himself from many military soldiers and families for now and always. I’ll tell you something “Marine-like” here that is missing with General Powell— Semper Fi.
And McCain gave that and more

makes this country great doesn’t it.
Whose endorsement matters more? Powell’s or Joe the Plumber’s?
The divisions in this country are overwhelming. I think we are heading to a race war in this country. With respect to politics we are so sharply divided and I think the divisions are going to lead to our downfall. I dont see signs of this changing and I do not see the superliberal as a great uniter.
True. But he is far from perfect too.
Thank you!
Oh, anyone else think ole Colin has an intro or a couple of chapters in the upcoming Gwen Ifill book? I’d wager a bottle of wine or two on that one.
Of course he did. Powell was an affirmative action general officer, and Obama is a wannabe affirmative action commander-in-chief.
neither is smart enough or talented enough to do it on their own.
The main thing that Bush has been good on has been judges. I shudder to think where the court would be had Gore been the one to replace Rehnquist and O’Connor.
The main thing I fear at this point is that the media is going to hype powell’s comments like crazy in a positive light every hour, on the hour for the next few days. We’ve had good momentum after McCain’s performance this week, and now the media are panicking seeing their man going downhill in the polls, and they’re going to use this as their pro-obama story of the week.
Damn sad that so many hold this man’s opinion so highly. I pray that voters see this as Powell voting based on his own race.
Hows Does Obama spin this to the dems, because
How can the public believe Powell endorsing Obama when Obama says Powell was one of the people that “supposedly” lied us into war and that they should be prosecute.
So under bambi’s standards, if Powell is a liar, how can he accept the endorsement of someone he calls a liar?
Thats just warped logic.
Here is the breakdown in newspaper endorsements to date.

“Still, Powell is a true American success story and probably a decent man.”
You need to qualify his success with affirmative action. To some that doesn’t make a difference.
Excellent list. There should be a listing of all the retired generals and admirals supporting McCain on one side and the three or four supporting Obama on the other.
Sadly, I think it's all about his "legacy". He had always been portrayed as the "reasonable" Republican by the MSM until his UN speech regarding the war in Iraq. It's all part of him trying to disassociate himself from that and get back into the MSM's good graces.
All is forgiven...he’s back on the Dem “plantation”, where he belongs. Oh, AND HE’S BLACK.
See post #111.
Not the war against America's children.
