Obama campaign counsel Bob Bauer has sent a letter (.pdf) to the Department of Justice requesting that Special Prosecutor Dannehy -- who is currently investigating the firings of U.S. Attorneys -- expand her investigation to look into whether any administration officials have worked in a joint effort with the McCain campaign and the RNC in legitimizing the allegations of vote fraud.
In the letter, Bauer asks for an inquiry into what he calls a "systematic development and dissemination of unsupported, spurious allegations of vote fraud." On a conference call with reporters, Bauer went further in explaining their position.
"These [vote fraud] allegations do not mean illegal voting," Bauer said. "Nobody really expects thousands of Mickey Mouses or Tony Romos to show up at the poll to vote this fall. But at the end of the day, the reason that you're getting the daily calls, the reason -- quite apart from political desperation -- that they're resorting to this issue and not to others, is to utilize the mantra that they've hit upon and the organization whose name they plan to make famous as a proxy for attacking the electoral process itself."
Bauer went on to say that the allegations are an "unprecedented effort to essentially sap the American people of confidence in the voting process" and that "an attack on the voters cannot go undefended."
Welcome to the USSR comrades!
If Barry “Steve” Soetoro aka Barack HUSSEIN Obama doesn’t have any connection to the Obamacorns, why are his boys so upset that ACORN is being investigated? Hmmm?
Next will be investigations on Hussein’s birth certificate.
I doubt that.
True, they will simply be voted by Dem poll workers after the polls close. The result will be votes = registered, even if fictitious, voters. No fraud here!
They did it in Washington state with the Governor's election in 2004 exactly this way, and are trying it again, by allowing 24,000 felons to vote.
Did you hear that lawyer/poll worker talking to Rush about this last week? She caught some ‘RAT pollworkers loading ballots for DemocRATik registered voters who did not vote into the machines after the polls had closed.
“me,me,me,me,me,me,meeeee.”—Obama
These included one flagged by a precinct worker as invalid because it was a “green card voter.’ - but that was OK, because after all we do not know who they voted for, so they all had to count. The canvasing board (controlled by Dems) over ruled the precinct and counted it.
The reality is that a republican, conservative, has to win more than a simple majority to be elected.
It's for the children!

Thanks for correcting my link.
You put 2109354 in the link when it’s actually 2109359.
Works for me..
Guess it doesn’t matter, it still comes back to the same article.
"Two days after my swearing in, Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones, out of Cleveland, stood up in the House of Representatives to challenge the certification of Ohio electors, citing the litany of voting irregularities that had taken place in the state on Election Day.....Senator Barbara Boxer of California agreed to sign the challenge, and when we returned to the Senate chamber, I found myself casting my first vote, along with seventy-three of the seventy-four others voting that day, to install George W. Bush for a second term as President of the United States.
"I would get my first big batch of phone calls and negative mail after this vote. I called back some of my disgruntled Democratic supporters, assuring them that yes, I thought an investigation was in order, but yes, I still believed George Bush had won the election..."
But, of course, Obama knew exactly who had committed systematic voter fraud in Ohio, and he dared not shine a light on the organization that would be his major weapon in the run for POTUS that was already carefully planned. There could be no investigation and no threat to the plan in place.
Oh, no, Obama doesn’t have any ties to ACORN. Ignore the man behind the curtain.
“the organization whose name they plan to make famous as a proxy for attacking the electoral process itself”
So now ACORN is “the electoral process” itself? How arrogant are these people? Republicans darn well support the electoral process; that’s why we demand people follow the rules.
By the way, regtistration fraud is voter fraud. Even if no one ends up using the false names to vote, it still constitutes fraud.
P.S. There is no such thing as (illegal) voter suppression in this country. The Democrats made it up. Tell me, how many people are arrested every few years for disenfranchisment compared to how many people are arrested for voter fraud?
