Shortly before 9 PM today, Saturday, October 18, I received an Obama robo-call from someone claiming to be a plumber in Fairfax. I wasn't able to catch his name. Has anyone else heard this? I'm curious to know who this person is.
Moreover, these calls are already annoying, but to get one at that hour of the evening when I'm trying to get the kids down to sleep is extremely irksome.
A plumber, huh?
Did he say he wanted to be taxed more and is looking forward surrendering the American Dream to Socialism?

If you can, tell them “Oh man, I really want to talk to you. Have one thing to do first, can you hold on?” Then put them on hold and go watch TV.
Tell him you want to contribute but have to go to the bathroom first, set the phone down and just leave it there.
I put the phone down and let the message play out (figuring this would slightly decrease the number of calls they could make, if at least by 1) but I didn’t listen to it.
If it was a real plumber, it was probably some union thug.
We got the same call. My husband answered the phone and hung up after a few seconds. He said all he heard was someone saying he was a plumber for obama. Then my husband said he felt dirty for having answered that vile call.
I got a robocall from Governor Palin this morning and my husband is feeling cheated that he answered the plumber for obama call. I loved the Sarah call.

I think a called on Laura Ingraham said that she got a call from Bob the plumber.
Or that. ;)
If it’s a live person, it’s more fun to make up some non-existent product and pretend to try and sell it to them.
Was his name Joe?
Or perhaps Josef?
Maybe Uncle Joe?
No return #? Yeah that sounds pretty irritating. Are you on the do not call list?
Unfortunately, most of the Robo phone calls I have gotten from the Obama camp are pre-recorded messages I just hang up. ;-)
I’m pretty sure that political calls, and certain charities, are exempt from do-not-call restrictions.
His last name might be Stalin!
I was not aware of that.
If you have caller ID (if not blocked) note their phone number. If caller ID is blocked, use *69 to call back last received call and note what number shows up. Then publicize that number widely (perhaps on FR ;) Someone out there might have a Robo-caller of their own that coincidently would repeatedly call that number. Or just a lot of average “Joe the Plumbmers” might repeatedly call that number. They can’t call out if their line is busy with incoming calls.
Note, don’t attempt to do this from any Repubican campaign phones.
Interesting. I’m from Ohio and got a call from “John the Plumber” supporting BHO.
I’m willing to bet this is to cause confusion among the electorate. For those who don’t follow the news closely, they hear about “Joe the Plumber” and then get a call from “John the Plumber” thinking it’s the same guy.
Pretty devious.
Sorry for the secondary post, but it sounds like they could be added after this election.
