And yet Obama can’t lock it in. This should tell him something. He’s spending the money because he knows he will most likely loose the race.

I’m curious, how much money is 0bama spending? It seems as though he’s going all out, spending a couple million a day in TV ads. The same goes for the DNC. If they keep spending like a drunken sailor, how much will they have during the final week?
Besides, all this money and the race is still tight, with McCain/Palin surging.

Senator Feingold extending and revising his remarks: And thanks, John, for reaching across the aisle and making deals with us Democrats. WE appreciate your help very much. America will be so much better off when we progressives control all three branches of government.

I think Sen. McCain believe the “surge” strategy works for more than just Iraq...

The biggest irony is that the Republicans have the reputation as the "big money" party, whereas the Democrats are supposed to be the party of "the people." 0bama showed his true colors when he changed his tune on sticking to public campaign funding.

When that was originally his stance, he assumed that the Republicans would have lots more donated money than he. As soon as it became clear he was raking in way more dinero, he declared public financing to be "broken" and declined to use it.

0bama has proven, time after time, that he will change his views in an instant if it appears it will be of greater benefit to HIM. He is an uber-politician.

I am praying that people will see through this over-saturation in every media format, of having 0bama shoved down their throats. I liken it to Rachael Ray. I used to love her when she was an average Jane with enthusiasm for life and forcooking.

Now she has a talk show, a magazine, a travel show, cookware, cutlery, a food line, and God only knows what else. I can no longer stomach the woman. Enough is enough. If people aren't sick of the over-marketing of Big Brutha' Barack 0bama by now, they should be.

I think today, McCain should ask the networks for a half hour of air time to respond to Senator Government’s lies. When they refuse, McCain can start an add campaign, say in stump speeches that the left is denying him free speech and all that stuff. So by the time obama makes his address, it won’t matter what he says. The idea will already be out their that’s it’s McCain the underdog against the left wing establishment.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I know when I see a candidate’s political advertisements CONSTANTLY - like I’m seeing and hearing Obama’s right now - I get a knee-jerk reaction of irritation! It’s like I used to like Rachel Ray & then I kept seeing her everywhere, now I can’t stand to watch her. Even candidates that I like - make me mad at them when they pester me too much with ads. I don’t think this is going to get him that many more votes.

Yeah but Obama can’t put McCain away. Which means there is much resistance to Barack and his message.

The little Marxist nobama can’t even fill the seats at his tiny beer hall rallies. Meanwhile, Mr. McCain and Palin are drawing tens of thousands.

You need a lot of money to run for President.

But you cannot buy it with advertising.

Your reach a saturation point. No more returns on your money.

May not be as bad as it looks. There is a point of diminishing returns where constant exposure may actually turn voters off. Remember Obummer’s huge advertising advantage in OH and PA during the primaries.

BTW, what happened to the $200 million GOP shock and awe ad campaign? Was this an urban legend?

McCain will still have his day job even if he loses—his seat is up again in 2010 (and he won with more than 75% of the vote last time around).

Feingold to McCain: Enjoy your retirement, pal.

It is interesting... the two things hurting McCain the most:

1. McCain-Feingold

2. The mainstream media which is now in the tank for Obama, and which previously had been in love with McCain. McCain still seems shell shocked from the ferocity with which the MSM turned on him. It was all utterly predictable to us...

Can someone tell me when McCain is supposed to be spending his $166 million on ads? I haven’t seen it yet.
