Bologna, Patlook at the voter fraud issue alone. they are almost getting away with it, but only because the Justice dept, and FBI are investigating it. Do you think Obama will push for investigating voter fraud? NO WAY! He denies he even knows ACORN.
and Look what democrats did to the banks?
they are for killing babies for God's sake, and at any stage of development. no holds bar. WHY?

Like I said, McCain is weaksauce. for some reason he still thinks he can reach across the aisle. THAT IS PURE BULL.

the only way to stamp out their sick kind is to beat them down. they know most Americans are Conservative, and that is why they pretend to be conservative in front of the cameras.

WE need to band together and do a better job at selling our message. Make our issues dinner table fodder. defend America. defend the family. defend the military. defend business, and independence. Joe the Plumber did this in five minutes. Imagine if we had 1000 Joe the Plumbers in every town, at every rally doing the same? where is Barr? is he even polling in .005% of the electorate?

take your strong idealism to 2010, and elect a Libertarian in the next primary. what the hell is the point in siding with a candidate that will garner 500,000 votes. all you're doing is making a tiny statement that's meaningless to this great country.

Ordinarily I would agree with you, itsPatAmerican. In fact, I was not going to vote for McCain. And for the reasons you outlined. I was going to vote for a conservative candidate or write my name in.

However, the logic for that disappeared when McCain picked Palen for VEEP. She is a genuine conservative. This the first time we’ve had a conservative candidate in place since Reagon.

I ask you, sir, why would you jeapardize Palin because of your angst about McCain and the Pubbie Party? There is no doubt in my mind that this country, big as it is, would survive the Marxist Onada. But why should it have to? Moreover, he would do far greater near and long term damage than would McCain.

I understand your frustration. Believe me, I feel the same way. However, I look at it as voting for Palen and not McCain. There is no doubt that McCain is aware he is getting conservative votes only because he chose Palin.

I respectfully request that you reconsider your vote.

Sorry, if you’re stupid enough to vote for Bob’ACLU’Barr as a prtoest vote and thereby assist the Marxist squirrel to get elected, then you don’t need political discussion, you need a nice brie and crackers to go with your whine.

Should this happen look for an orgy of new taxes and spending. Given the current state of the US economy that will push things over the edge and we will see a recession as bad as that under Jimmy Carter. I look for double digit inflation and unemployment within two years of Obama moving into the White House.

The left lived through 8 years of Bush to emerge stronger than ever...we can live through 4 of 0bama.

do you really believe Obama will be as benign toward his opponents as Bush has been?

Jeopardize? She'll be on the top of the ticket in four years, RR to Obama's Carter.

I appreciate your respectful request to reconsider my vote...let me assure that there are still things McCain can do to win my vote back.

Two points,
1. I believe in the system our forefathers put in place to prevent one president from destroying it all and
2. Bush may have been benign, but he has some real mean SOBs (I mean this as a complement) in his circle that were fighting the good fight as hard as they could.

Now *that* would be inspiring.

Going to be a good time to sell off any businesses one owns, hunker down and hope the national insanity passes.

If the House and Senate were a majority (pretty good majority) then perhaps I could applaud your principles. I so understand how screwed up it is that we have to vote for a guy like McCain, but guess what? We HAVE too. I would be standing next to you if we had nice majorities in the house and senate, I really would and FRiends here would not be able to convince me otherwise, but with Democrats having control of EVERYTHING to a point of possible veto power too...I can’t do it and I personally hope that you don’t either. Good luck on your decision...please think carefully.

you are right. and McCain damn well better acknowledge that it was Palin that got him this far.
McCain is a nice guy, probably too nice. he is seeing the ghoul-type attacks now that the NYT went after his sweet wife. Hopefully Mac will wake up, and really be the maverick he brags to be. but he aint gonna do that unless WE ALL tell him that we stand by him as long as he sticks to conservative principles.

all obama has is “the last eight years”...rhetoric.
lets examine those eight years. while BUSH was fighting terrorists, the dems were telling lies and bringing down the banks.

I am voting Barr and making a stand against the US’s slide into socialism.

It simply doesn't make sense.

Barr is completely incapable in any way of impacting the slide into socialism. By not supporting McCain, you further enable Obama. I've been through the argument from your side until I really considered the impact. Think Perot '92...

I am honestly telling you that supporting Bar IS de facto supporting Obama by depriving his only viable opponent of a vote.

Have it your way, but don't say we didn't warn you.

Yep, not happy with McCain either, but a seasoned, experienced Sarah Palin holds much promise.

Barr? This wacked out nut job doesn’t know what he wants. Besides that he cares far more about his ego than his country. This loser has NO chance of winning this and he knows it. The only thing he can do is throw the election to Obama. SHAME ON BARR AND SHAME ON ANYONE WHO VOTES FOR HIM!!!

was there even one allegation of a politically motivated IRS investigation? BO's not even elected and his press acolytes have already tipped their hand to what's coming with plumber Joe.

this turned out to be a very good discussion.

let me tell you one thing. I’m in WA State. In 2004 our Republican candidate lost by 129 votes. The Dems and ACORN cheated big time. eleven boxes of ballots were found in eleven diferent locations AFTER the tally, and after the recount. the witch won.

My point is, a few hundred votes would have made a huge difference. sadly, good, conservative, America loving people like my dad do not vote because they think their vote won;t make a difference.

My best friend doesn’t vote for the same reason, and because she can’t be bothered with such things.
and I suspect many many people are not aware of, or do not make a connection between their values and the two parties.

REPUBLICANS, AND ALL OF US, NEED TO DEFINE THIS.
Republicans need to pin every bad and failed idea to the dems. they need to sell themselves better. If you were selling candy bars would you hire a advertising firm to sell your product? of course. the GOP needs to do this too.

Dems do not sell their ideas because they know they dont sell. so what do they do? they force their agenda on us through city halls, the schools, county gov’t,...right on down the line.

Four years of Bambi will get us one or two justices, but it will also get us 8 years of a real conservative pres

That's an assumption that is not safe or logical to make. You don't know that's what will happen. It's also quite telling you are wanting to cause damage to the country for some social experiment which probably won't work.
