Can someone with some artistic talent and/or photo-shop skills please create an image that shows Joe the plumber as Toto, Obama as the great Oz, and Karl Marx as the man behind the curtain? This would be a very powerful image that could be sent all over the internet.

I have lots of ideas for political cartoons, but I can't draw a straight line, and I'm not very computer literate. Thanks a million FReepers!!

No, no, no. McCain is the TinMan...he has the brains, the courage, but needs a little heart. Dorothy is Gov. Palin (taking the hits from the Wicked Witch and keeping everything together); Pelosi is the Wicked Witch. Oprah is the Wicked Witch of the East (the one the house dropped on and started the whole story). Hillary is Glinda. Yes Hillary. Kind of behind the scenes, above it all helping out here and there...Joe the Plumber is our Scarecrow; and our Cowardly Lion...well that is a composite character made up of RINOs and other conservative naysayers ready to tear up, at a moments notice, about the latest poll or the latest 'slight' perceived to be aimed at Ozbama...

Biden is the gate keeper at Emerald City (no one gets to the Great 0zb 'no way, no how.' Reid and Frank are members of the Lollipop Guild.

I can go with Hillary being Glinda.

You may be on to something. Glinda, "the Good Witch," was the real trouble maker in the odd screenplay. She's the one who puts the ruby slippers on Dorothy, and of course, after getting her to kill off her other enemies, including the exposure of Oz as the fraud he really is, gets him exiled, laughs and tells Dorothy she could have gone home anytime she wanted.

Dorothy taps her heels together and heads back to Kansas leaving Glinda in charge of the whole shooting match.

I agree... McCain = Tinman, but because he DOES have a heart, while his intelligence and experience comes across as his strongest suit.

I would agree Palin = Dorothy if her role as the good witch didn’t fit better... who else for good witch but Palin?

Hillary definitely = Witch of East... she’s the one that got the house dropped on her.

I like Biden = gatekeeper, and ROFLED at Reid & Frank = Lollipop Guild!.... still laughing! :D

Great minds...I love the Wizard of Oz. And I would suggest 'Wicked' if you get a chance to see the play. Awesome. The book was really a good read too.

Alot of topics are compared to either Gilligan's Island or The Wizard of Oz (as the characters are so strongly, plainly drawn). Its a fun thing to do. When I saw, Glin...err, Hillary laughing at the Smith dinner (at McCain's spot on routine) I thought...'she is enjoying that McCain supporter joke a little too much.'

And red (ruby) really is Sarah Palin's best color.

Read Prospero's post (right above yours) about the 'Good Witch.' LOL...and Barney Frank doesn't even have to affect his voice to sing 'We are the Lollipop Guild, the Lollipop Guild...'

I think we are all kind of Auntie Ems waiting back at the farm. We are worried and fretting over our Dorothy...but in the end, when the storm is over, everything will be okay.
