What staggering ignorance on the left! So, if the economy is running through a bad patch, as it has in cycles every few years for the past, oh, 500 years or so, it is imperative to vote for “change” in the executive branch of government. Even though there is little to no link between current exec branch policies and the current economic climate, and even though policies pursued and enacted by the left with enthusiasm for over 70 years have been pounding our economic health, leftist voters run even further left.

That is like reaching your tolerance for the heat on a hot day and responding by closing the window and unplugging your fan.

The left’s garnering votes because the economy is in a bad patch. The left’s prescription is to take more money away from the investment class and successful entreepreneurs. Thank God we don’t have an epidemic of deadly illness—else, the left would be recommending the infection of healthy people to “spread the wealth around”.

This is the price a society pays for economic ignorance in the voting population. This is the price paid for poor educational quality.
