So, I wonder what kind of support McCain would get if he came out with some straight (truthful) talk about the globull warming myth. That would be real leadership that I could believe in.

Uh oh, you went against the McCainiacs. You are to branded a traitor. I agree, McCain in his “maverick” mode always seems to go against common sense. I will vote for him, because of Hussein, but I truly do not hold out much hope. I know I am giving aid and comfort to the enemy, but both are going to lead us down the same path. One because He believes in it, the other, because of me to-ism.

I truly admire this man. I just hope it has some effect. England just decided that an 80% cut was appropriate, never the the financial collapse. Europe, luckily with some serious dissenters, is also continuing to beat the global warming drum. Here in Australia they are still promising to bring in an emissions trading scheme by 2010 (one economic crisis is obviously not enough). Someone has to stand up and tell the truth and he’s doing as good a job as anyone.

Lord Monckton ping! I don’t have time to read it this morning, but I’m sure it’s a tour de force of grammatical elegance :-).

With every respect, there is no rational basis for your declared intention that your great nation should inflict upon her own working people and upon the starving masses of the Third World the extravagantly-pointless, climatically-irrelevant, strategically-fatal economic wounds that the arrogant advocates of atmospheric alarmism admit they aim to achieve. Wish I'd said that.

Im sure its a tour de force of grammatical eleganceIt certainly is! An example:
At the national election in which you are the Republican candidate, the fate not merely of the United States but also of the world will be decided. We owe you much, and, because you have given us much, we look to you to give us more. We look to the United States for a continuation of her leadership of the world, for what you have called "the common interests of the American people" are the strategic interests of humanity itself.
I've been a fan of Monckton for a long time. I wish every environment minister the world over would read him!

That would be real leadership that I could believe in.Indeed it would but he would be totally savaged in the media and accused of losing his senses due to age and senility. And not nearly enough of the electorate has a clue about this to make up for the downside. It would be a noble act but suicidal at this stage of the campaign.

I love this guy, happily the economy is so bad that neither candidate can afford to do little more than offer lip service to the non-problem.

That’s pretty much what I figure would happen too. McCain would have to distance himself from this issue carefully. Maybe he or Gov. Sarah could do it with code words. :) (I’m probably just dreaming here).

your belief in the apocalyptic vision of catastrophic anthropogenic climate change - a lurid and fanciful account of imagined future events that was always baseless, was briefly exciting among the less thoughtful species of news commentators and politicians, but is now scientifically discredited.
TRUTH!
This guy has a way with words! And a great message, too!

I see this has been posted three times... but, I have no complaint because, in my opinion, a hundred postings wouldn't be enough.
As a scientist, I have always known that the very idea of anthropogenic global warming was too ridiculous to mention, but I never had all the citations at hand to support my belief. Lord Monckton provides these and the moral framework to counter the Gore/EDF propaganda, all expressed in phrasing that is a delight to read.
Copies of the entire article (all 4 parts) should be provided to every school in the nation, together with a demand that it be made a part of the science curriculum.
