So, I wonder what kind of support McCain would get if he came out with some straight (truthful) talk about the globull warming myth. That would be real leadership that I could believe in.
I truly admire this man. I just hope it has some effect. England just decided that an 80% cut was appropriate, never the the financial collapse. Europe, luckily with some serious dissenters, is also continuing to beat the global warming drum. Here in Australia they are still promising to bring in an emissions trading scheme by 2010 (one economic crisis is obviously not enough). Someone has to stand up and tell the truth and he’s doing as good a job as anyone.
Indeed it would but he would be totally savaged in the media and accused of losing his senses due to age and senility. And not nearly enough of the electorate has a clue about this to make up for the downside. It would be a noble act but suicidal at this stage of the campaign.
Too late; he's declared himself on the side of anthropogenic global warming and has made it part of his campaign.
He's going to offer federal solutions to natural variations in climate.
It would be a big reversal for him to state what most of us see as the truth about climate.
