Well done. I appreciate the rare poster who takes the trouble to really put some thought and effort into a reply on a deep topic such as this.

I’m familiar with Chicago’s reputation for corruption and sleaze in the political “machine”-style landscape there, not by personal propinquity such as yours, but by legend.

I agree that the characteristic features of “by any means necessary” Marxists, Stalinists, Maoists, and so on prevail among Hussein’s ilk, and unfortunately they are the same throughout the third-world...it’s also true that we’ve seen quite a bit of similar tactics play out in our own history here and there, but our republic’s generally been the shining city on a hill as far as transparency in the rule of law, etc...too bad multiculturalism and the “diversity” gestapo are increasingly eroding our cultural integrity.

I’m with your analysis (especially as far as the evil nexus of Islamofascism and communism) but I also maintain that Hussein’s race and exotic background are key to his being able to get away with so much outright underhandedness and un-American activities. We both know that if he were white and on the national stage as Presidential politics go, he’d be vetted that much more and held up to scrutiny and challenge/disqualification quite unlike anything he’s hardly had to endure with the blatant conspiracy of the MSM.

More later, perhaps, on the threat faced by our civilization.

Absolutely true. I am sure that he used his ‘exoticness’ as a tool from the time he could speak, and was being disciplined or guided by the various adults in his life.

Baby Barry: “You’re just saying that because I look different. Pout pout pout.”

“Oh, no, honey, I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.
That’s okay,
You don’t have to
stop sassing me
stop throwing your food
come in a take a rest...
[or whatever a caregiver would say to a child.]”

Which transitioned to
stop smoking dope
stop lying
start doing your school assignments

All rebutted by “you don’t like me because...”

It is a lifetime pattern, that will not stop if he is behind the desk in the Oval Office.

Nothing will EVER be his fault!!!

Hi there! Thanks so much for the reply, and sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

As for Obama's race playing a factor in what he is able to get away with - I definitely agree! You are exactly right that if he were anyone else he would've been subject to extreme scrutiny.

In fact, in Obama's book "Dreams from My Father", he brings up how race plays a factor in elections. He specifically mentions Harold Washington's race for mayor of Chicago. Here is what he says in his book:

"Black politicians less gifted than Harold discovered what white politicians had known for a very long time: that race-baiting could make up for a host of limitations."
- Barack Obama, "Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race & Inheritance"

So, you can see that he is well aware of race-baiting and the effect it can have on an election. We can see from Obama's actions that he is attempting to use this to his advantage. Not only does he bring up the charge of racism every time someone exposes a negative about him, he is using race-baiting to make up for the host of his personal limitations and inexperience.

Growing up I have often wondered what happened to MLK, Jr.'s dream. I have since learned that what Frederick Douglass said so long ago, is still a factor in race relations today. "Minorities" (specifically blacks) cannot let go of the past because they see it as helping them gain an advantage, and they see it as an entitled position.

Race-hustlers like Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton know that if we really were a "post-racial" America they would be out of a job, and would lose their influence and power. They would actually have to work, and rely on their character to achieve things in our society rather than playing on emotions and sympathies to gain their "successes". Hence, why they push the idea that there is still so much hatred and animosity among whites.

To be perfectly honest with you, for me personally, it is the race-hustlers that continue to cause problems. It is the sense of entitlement that holding on to the past creates that continues to cause problems within our society.

It is in fact, the race-hustler's actions that CREATES division, and reinforces ignorant stereotypes. It is these things that divide our nation, and our people, and rather than being a "great uniter" that Obama claims he is - his candidacy has pushed back race relations by DECADES among some segments of our population. It's really unforgivable, and it is disgusting.

I could go on, but I know we are on the same page here! It saddens me to see what our country is going through. I have always been one that tries to see past the color of people's skin, or where they were born, or who their ancestors are, or what their religion is. And, it literally pains my heart to see what Obama's campaign is doing to our country as far as creating more division and more racial strife.

I suppose in some ways though it's good to get it all out in the open, because it needs to be dealt with. Perhaps that'll be one silver lining resulting from Obama's campaign - that we can REALLY start addressing the problems we face in regards to these issues of racism as a nation. The special treatment enjoyed by some "classes" of citizens needs to end. True equality does NOT mean "special rights" or "special treatment" (like Hate Crimes & such).

Everyone has the same God-given rights, and we need to start addressing the issues that are making it impossible to realize MLK, Jr.'s dream of EVERYONE being judged by what is on the INSIDE, what is in their hearts, and NOT what is on the outside...
