By his own admission (and sometimes bragging) Michael Schiavo killed Terri, her cats, his own mother, and his own father. His mother-in-law (Jodi’s mother) died mysteriously in his home.
At what point does someone qualify for the label of mass murderer?
No, Michael, YOU are the one who didn't respect your marriage.
Actually, it’s an insult to gays to compare them to the likes of Michael Schiavo, that murdering psycho
I agree with you. They should be insulted by the comparison.
But, I just did a search, and, oddly, in the twisted minds of the people on DU, back in 2005, they saw the Terri Schiavo case not as a right-to-life case, like we did, but as an argument in favor of same-sex marriage.
Unbelievable:

Yeah Michael, you respected your “legal marriage between a husband and wife” so much you hooked up with another chick and had two kids with her while your wife, whom you professed to love and care for so much, was still ALIVE!
Bastard! If I had any inkling of voting against the amendment, Michael Schiavo just sealed my “yes” vote!!
Gee, Michael, cannot do that. Plus, I would NEVER EVER in my wildest dreams take one suggestion from you — that I would not do a 180 on.
Just fyi.
Further, another part of respecting marriage is recognizing that a sufficient breach of trust by one participant is grounds for its dissolution, whether the participant wants it or not. To suggest that Michael's moving in with Jodi Centonze and having two children by her is not grounds for divorce, is to make a mockery of marriage.
Though perhaps the amendment should have been extended a little to include "...man and woman as husband and wife, who are bound by an oath of exclusive fealty to each other..."
