Nation could face short Election Night (OBAMA BLOWOUT FORECASTED BY POLITICO)

Network news executives said they are preparing for an unusual Election Night challenge: How to be honest with the audience, and still keep them tuned in, if the race between John McCain and Barack Obama is effectively decided before most Americans have finished dinner. --------------------------------------------------------

Politico has really gone down the toilet in the last month or so..

If McCain does not take those states it is over.

It’s like a dumbed-down WaPo (if that’s possible) for the ESPN and Comedy Central crowds. The place is Hacks-R-Us for aging slackers.

We laugh BUT....

If the media starts peddling this on election night, it could depress turnout in non-EST zone states. Get on the horn with everyone you know west of North Carolina and tell them to vote anywise, if they haven’t already, regardless of what the MSM are saying 10 minutes after polls close in the EST.

Sorry, but I don’t consider Politico to be a valid source for anything but pro-0bama propaganda. I’ll pass on reading the article or the comments on this thread and I’ll pass on anything Politico-related in the future.

(but this is not meant as an attack on you by any means.)

How I would love it if they had to eat their words.... praying that they have to, in fact.

The only way it’s an early night on Nov. 4th is if the media succeeds in shuttig down voting beyond the EST time zone by calling states early and reporting “exit polls”.

We must learn from 2000!

There’s no “if”. They will peddle it from now until election night. Their minions are already here peddling it every day (with their newly registered handles).

Spread the word, far and wide: They’re liars.

I believe this guy has too much “power” behind him. I am allowed an oppinion and that’s mine. He won’t be stopped no matter what.

We just had a supreme court vote in his fraud favor. Explain that, please. Fox news won’t even say his middle name.

There can be fraud, corruption, even murder on t.v. and nothing’s gonna’ stop this guy. Michelle was right.

Me? I’m getting ready for the worst and if I end up with the best I’ll be jumping for joy.

Actually, we’ll know a lot once the polls close in Indiana and Kentucky. Mac must win Kentucky handily - called quickly — and have a lead in Indiana as polls start closing in the east.

They wish. The medi has been campaigning for Obama Hussein for so long they can’t remember what the word “objective” means.

I beg to disagree. On Election night this is exactly how it will unfold.

Leaked exit polls in PA will favor Obama. However, exit polls in FL and OH will favor McCain. Thus the night will start with a strong focus on VA and NC. However the first inkling of something being wrong will come when the MI results start coming in and McCain is about 1-2 points ahead after Detroit has come in. You will start to see hemming and hawing from the Panels in all the networks.

When PA results swing McCain’s way later in the night (as Western PA comes in), the shock factor will begin to result.

When CA opens with a VERY modest Obama lead that is when the networks will call the election for McCain.

My predictions are below:

RCP is precariously out of touch — nearly as bad as Politico.

There is movement out there. How much, uncertain. But BO may have peaked.

No way. PA, maybe maybe. Never NJ.

Watch VA, watch NH. If they are squirrly about NH, it means the Messiah is in big trouble early. If VA goes to the Messiah, we can pretty well fold up the tent.

Dr. Lecter,

Why did you just sign up for FR a few days ago?

Just wondering.

I agree with you here in PA.
However, OBAMA ACORN will dispute every state in court; long night if McCain ever wins.

I almost posted the same article...

The media has done everything in its power to promote Obama, in every conceivable angle:

1. Election is over, maybe an early night - to attract apathy

2. Bogus polls from Liberal enclaves

3. Threats of riots and violence

4. If you don’t vote for Obama you are racist

5. Racist rhetoric is coming from McCain rallies

6. Joe the Plumber, Sarah Palin have extensive negative media coverage, the many, many terror, Communist, African dictator, Islamic fundamental and shady associations of Obama are not even investigated and dismissed.

7. Every network but Fox has an open endorsement of Obama

8. Voter fraud by ACORN and an apathetic Supreme Court ruling

9. Every Hollywood star and pro athlete is endorsing Obama

The reality is that he is up 2-4% right now when he should be up by 20%.

There is hope.

Pray and stay positive under the direct assault on America.

I guess I should add "don't count your chickens before they're hatched" to the long list of things parents don't teach their children any more (e.g., "the little boy who cried wolf", "two wrongs don't make a right", etc.).
