Powell is unpopular and mistrusted by the left and right.

Therefore, his endorsement of Obama is a negative factor for the The One.

So basically, in the end, it comes to race for Powell. How sad.

Doesn’t surprise me. Watch the rats embrace this endorsement after bashing him for lying about the WMD. They are all hypocrites and this endorsement means nothing.

So... A moderate liberal is going to support a lunatic left liberal. The MSM will go nuts over this and try to make it into a 3 day news story, I can hardly wait.

Signs that Republican RINO Colin Powell will support Barack Obama for president

Sorry, I just had to do that.

IMHO, much ado about nothing. Powell is, thankfully, no longer mainstream. I don't see this as having much of an impact.

In fact, having a Black Republican like Colin Powell endorse Obama gives credence to the theory that blacks will vote for a black man over a white one.

I wonder how that will go over in Murtha’s “racist” district? LOL.

General, we are grateful as a nation for your service.

With that being said, I don’t give a fig who you endorse. Especially at this late stage of the game - could you be any more of a front runner?

Your chance to play in the big leagues of presidential politics ended in 1995 or so.

Powell has already donated the max to McCain. He has given nothing to Obama.

I wouldn’t worry about Powell.

I respect Powell, but this is nothing but identity poltics. If Obama were not black, Powell would never endorse him.

Period.

This is all speculation. It wouldn’t surprise me if he endorsed Obama, but we really don’t know until he says something. All this is is media rumor-mongering.

If he endorses Obama then he is back in play as a powerful public figure.

If he endorses McCain then he slides off into his obscure retirement.
