Ed Schultz STORMS OFF Fox and Friends!
Fox News Channel | October 17, 2008 | Self

Posted on 10/17/2008 3:42:28 AM PDT by PowerPro

Well that was a fun way to start the morning!

Steve Malzberg and Ed Schultz were guests on Fox and Friends when the topic of Joe the Plumber came up.

Steve went first, describing (correctly, I might add) that Obama's tax plan punishes success and was tantamount to Marxism, Ed responded with his own story about his sons' constuction company and spins a tale about how they'd do better under Obama's plan than McCain's.

Malzberg asks Ed whether or not they make 250K and Ed gets testy.

Extremely testy.

So testy, he gets up and walks away!

We see the cord from his microphone dangling for a few seconds and then we're treated to the extremely shocked faces of Gretchen, Steve Malzberg and Brian...who cannot believe what just happened.

The segment wraps up with everyone mock storming off set and leaving Gretchen to do the news and then the entire crew follows suit.

Except for Gretchen...who's now all by her lonesome.

Oh, that’s funny. I saw Ed start to go whiney-loony then turned off and got my coffee. Now I wish I’d given it another minute.

Dsmn! I’ve got Fox on but it’s not live at the moment. They’re showing last night’s O’Reilly Factor. I would have LOVED to have seen the F&F temper tantrum.

LOL I saw the segment.

Seems Ed had a Dan Rather moment.

He could not take the heat of Steve Malzberg asking him how much his sons made in their business.

Hey Steve if you are reading this.

WAY TO GO.

The short fused leftists - I want to laugh at this Schultz, but can you imagine, if they are able get Obama in the White House, the consequences to our freedom of speech? How dare these Fox hosts question Schultz’s premise.

Look how the media puppets are out to destroy Joe the Plumber. Joe is “us”.

Leftists aren’t used to media questioning what they say. They cannot deal with it when a media personality actually questions them in the same way a Republican gets questioned.

At some point soon this whole 250k thing will become "Revenge of the Accounting Nerds" and I say that as a compliment.

Is this Gross or Net Income? Ans what is scary is NoBama doesn't know the difference... My guess is they have some grand schemes about attacking "Gross" numbers....Maybe Mr. Shultz, knows enough that we all will get hosed, and he couldn't deal with it.....

This was posted by, Humble Servant. I thought it was a good idea. It could be a good letter to the editor as well.

“WE ALL MUST DO THE FOLLOWING TO AT LEAST 2 DIFFERENT PEOPLE A DAY BETWEEN NOW AND THE ELECTION:

Ask a person who’s considering voting for Obama to pick up a copy of the Yellow Pages. How many of those businesses do they think make over 250K? How many people in the area work for all those companies together? Restaurants, Plumbers, Paving companies, Hardware stores, everything. How many family members depend on those incomes? If Obama gets to raise taxes on all those businesses, will they be able to hire more workers, or fewer workers? Don’t forget the punchline:If they decide to stay in business, where will they get the money to pay the increase in taxes? That’s right—Raise their prices. So make sure they understand that when Barrack Hussein Obama tells them that he will give “THOSE PEOPLE’S” money to us if we will give power to him, what he means is that he will put millions of our friends and relatives on the unemployment lines, and raise the prices of every good and service we use. How ya doin’ for the little guy, Barry

And I want to see death come to this 95% canard AKA Obama’s Welfare program to sucker the untaxed masses.

Also, why is it that people forget about the Bush tax cuts, which will most definitely be rescinded under the big Zero? Would that not also be a tax increase? Ya know, for those who actually PAY taxes.

The 250K thing is a joke. There’s nothing special about the number itself except his Zero-ness decided that was the right number to start punishing success at. Like JTP said, he could just as easily one day decide 150K is enough. Or 100K.

How much incentive is there to build a business with that kind of sword of Damocles hanging over your head as an entrepreneur?

You’re right. Let’s pray that America isn’t bullied into losing our freedom of speech because of fear of retribtution for questioning and speaking out. It will be interesting to see what becomes of this Schultz incident this morning. I hope he gets skewered!

Also on Fox and Friends...Roy Arroyo from EWTN this morning told the Friends that Mac was the funniest last night at the Al Smith dinner. Brian chimes in with—oh, they were BOTH hysterical. Arroyo continues to talk about how one woman at his table supports Barry because he is for change but at the end of the night was disappointed and said to him—gee, Obama doesn’t know how to laugh at himself much, does he?

Also, there was quite a stir created that pro-abortion Barry was even invited as Rudy, Lurch and Bubba were not in the past. This guy said that the abortion issue would be very significant in this election.
