He also took issue with Joe's name. "His name isn't even Joe".

Now Fox has this ACORN Levenson idiot claiming that fraud isn't an issue, and Republicans want to suppress the vote.

“Capuano was just on Fox defending Obama’s SLIP-UP in admitting that he will force socialist wealth redistribution down America’s throat”

I take exception to the phrase slip-up. This is exactly what Obama believes and consistently says. It’s no slip-up

Very, very stupid to be arguing for tax increases on anyone at this point. Also, incredibly stupid to be dumping on Joe the Plumber.

Obama is back to his bumbling, stumbling self after the GOP convention. Expect more insults to be hurled at Joe the Plumber by the messiah.

The only “slip-up” was that B.O. told the truth.

OK. First, let the government stop p*ssing it away to my satisfaction (like that’s going to happen) and I’ll think about it.

There was a discussion between some folks sometime back and the topic of tax cuts came up. One fella thought that the cuts were bad and we should all be paying more in tax. I asked how much more he thought he should be paying and he just said “more than I am now”. I suggested that he write a check to the US Treasury - the government will take donations. The look he had on his face was worth a million bucks.

Obama cannot stand to be challenged, exposed, or made fun of by anyone else. Most especially, by a “typical white person.”

Just like he became unhinged after Palin’s convention speech, he’s been knocked totally off track by Joe the Plumber’s denunciation of his tax plan.

He’s not going to let this go. Obama has to get back at Joe the Plumber personally. How dare he, a mere plumber, make a mockery of him, The One, in public? How dare the plumber continue to speak out against Him?

This is much more familiar turf for a winning GOP presidential campaign. They need to run full bore on opposing Obama’s tax increases and his other dumb ideas. It’s still fine to question his associations, but as a centerpiece of the campaign, it’s taxes, taxes, taxes. There’s nothing racial at all about that.

Actually, it's more like people being elected need to understand that the goobermint, at all levels, needs to get off the money teat and go on a diet.

It is boiling down between the fight against socialism and capitalism, fiscal dependence versus self-accountability, goobermint do nothings scrambling to cover their useless agencies / programs versus the private sector worker trying to raise a family, education versus indoctrination, corruption versus integrity, prostitutional politics versus statesmanship, and good versus evil.

There are people that need to pay more taxes - they’re the low-income welfare base of the democrat party. They use our roads, our schools, our community services, but they don’t pay for them. Let them pay their fair share for a change.

Capuano admitted that some selfish, misguided people might not want to pay more in taxes, but he dismissed them as enemies of social justice who resent "progressive taxation."
If this was my congress critter, I'd stop by and kick the $hit out of him.

A profession in a moral philosphy class that I took in college had a perfect way to illustrate the problem with the "spread the wealth" mentality, though Freepers may want to adjust the example (he used "UNICEF", which I know has problems).

First, he told the class that he was going to hire a child to mow his lawn for $20. First, he asked if it would be better if the child spent the money on candy or sent it to UNICEF. Everyone agreed that sending it to UNICEF would be better. Then the zinger. He asked that if he know the kid was going to blow his $20 on candy, would it be right for him to not give it to the kid but sent it directly to UNICEF, instead, since that was the clearly superior use of the money. Nobody was willing to go along with that. That, in a nutshell, is the mindset behind taxation and spreading the wealth. Put in those clear terms, almost nobody will support it.
