From another source:

There were no incendiary outbursts from the crowd about Mr. Obama during Mrs. Palin's speech, as there have been during other recent McCain-Palin rallies.

However, someone did shout out, "Kill him!" during Republican congressional candidate Chris Hackett's remarks before Mrs. Palin took the stage.

The list of horrible words that Obama supporters have attacked Sarah with is very long. Obama has not refuted them.

Is there anyone, anyone at all, who thinks that the people who are yelling “kill him” are actually McCain supporters?

Is there anyone really that naive?

Could this hag try to speak without the droning monotone?
I love the way she tried to spin Ayers as a respectable human being.
This is a CROCK!

A total lie cooked up by the reporter in order to inflame and cause harm.

Bert - the US Secret Service says it never happened. No agents present and other security services present or others questioned heard the remark.

ONLY THE ONE REPORTER HEARD THIS STATTMENT.

And Bill Ayers was more than a “member” of a 1960’s protest group.

Who is the jackass bimbo anyway?

unfortunately a resounding yes!!!! My brother is a typical liberal/socialist (because that is what they really are). You can prove beyond any doubt the truth about Obama, and he will not believe it because in his world view this has been an illegal administration, and they are behind all these “lies” about obama. His words to me exactly.

Another thing these people are insane!!!!! they are angry, and they will not settle for anything less than a obama presidentcy.

Not in the least. From "Rules for Radicals":
Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog. (Unions used this tactic. Peaceful [albeit loud] demonstrations during the heyday of unions in the early to mid-20th Century incurred management's wrath, often in the form of violence that eventually brought public sympathy to their side.)

I'd like to see the outrage all these people expressed at the movies, novels and plays depicting the assassination of President Bush.

I'm sure I'd have a long wait to see it. My guess is that if they noted these “works” at all it would have been in the context of decrying “censorship” of “art” by troglodyte Republicans.

Obama didn’t even have the guts to repudiate John Lewis’s incediary statements... he is totally gutless, just trying to run ut the clock. Hopefully Joe the Plumber will flush himdown the loo.

I would think that the so called reporters or journalists in this country should start worrying whether that “kill him” is meant for a cnandidate for office or the reporters that choose to pick the candidate who should win! One of these days it’s going to backfire on them! How do they know that the term “kill him” (which no one else can verify) wasn’t direct at Chris Hackett. After all, this paper and our local paper have gone all out for Chris Carney who Chris Hackett is running against. Maybe the newspaper is at fault!

McCain dropped the ball on this one.

He aluded to the shirts calling Sarah a “See You Next Tuesday,” but didn’t drop the hammer on Senator Government. He just mentioned something about t-shirts that made him angry.

If you ask me, O got off easy last night.

Ummmm...

Secret Service on Scranton 'Kill Him' Report: "We Have Yet to Find Someone to Back Up the Story"

Secret Service: No One Shouted 'Kill Him' About Obama

And I see the Time-Tribune has changed their story. Per the second link above, one of their writers, David Singleton was the only one that heard that remark and reported it. Therefore, I call not only BS, but total BS. Mr. Singleton needs to get some meds so he won't have those voices in his head.

You are right. If somebody had said that, they broke the law and should be arrested. That is the point of my post. The Democratic campaign makes McCarthy's Big Lie look little and white.

More fuel, anybody? This is from Talking Points Memo:

Multiple TPM Readers are flagging this blood-curdling moment at a Sarah Palin rally in Pennsylvania today, courtesy of the Times-Tribune:

Chris Hackett addressed the increasingly feisty crowd as they await the arrival of Gov. Palin.

Each time the Republican candidate for the seat in the 10th Congressional District mentioned Barack Obama the crowd booed loudly.

One man screamed "kill him!"

No word on whether Hackett, who was -- ahem -- warming up the crowd for Palin, suggested that this isn't really considered acceptable political rhetoric.

I think falsely reporting a crime is ... a crime. It would be hard to prove against the "reporter," but just a good, hard interrogation would have a beneficial effect.
