Rooney family might hurry the sale on fears of Obama getting elected.
But don't want to pay his higher cap gains taxes
typical liberal
Let the other guy pay it.
I use to respect them, not anymore.
what’s biftime? :P
maybe Rush and other investors will buy the team.
Joining the deluge of Obama worshipping, cabernet-swilling rats leaving the sinking ship...
Good riddance. They’ve fleeced the city for enough already.
Liberals are fine with helping society... as long as it’s someone else doing it. That’s why they’re big on taxes and social programs. They figure everyone is like them, if you leave them to their own means, they will give and do nothing.
Conservatives want it left up to the individual, because in general, conservatives are quality people who do help.
Do you have a link?
Before we crucify Mr. Rooney, perhaps we should wait for, oh I don’t know, some actual news instead of a vanity post with no links whatsoever?
Ping of interest.
What’s biftime? My name’s bif, and it’s biftime!!!
“Before we crucify Mr. Rooney, perhaps we should wait for, oh I dont know, some actual news instead of a vanity post with no links whatsoever?”
Fair enough. If you read my post, it was a generalization because I don’t know much about the Rooneys or their politics. All I know is as an owner he’s been a good guy who his players like.
Oh, and the Rooneys were against the move of the Browns to Baltimore. That’s a plus in my book.
Linky??
Gee, it’s more fun to light the torches and get the pitchforks without any real facts, isn’t it? BTW, I thought the Rooney family were good Republicans.
Hardly anybody in Pittsburgh is a Republican. Doesn’t mean they are leftists.
...they say old Art Rooney went to Mass every day and never borrowed a dime in his life...I like that....he was a throwback to the time when teams were owned by sportsmen and not multi-millionaires who just want to be somebody.
I don’t see this story anywhere on ESPN or in any of the Pittsburgh locals. And I’m a resident of western PA so I would have heard something on the news about this because this story has been major headlines since the summer.
Rooneys staunch Dems. It’s all about the party and it goes back several generations. Not sure they’ve bothered to educate themselves on the actual candidates or issues.
Some of the brothers must sell their team interest because they have other business interests that include legalized gambling, which the NFL frowns upon.
This is old news in Pittsburgh. No idea what the original poster was trying to convey as there was a complete lack of information.
OK, thank you for some actual news.
I don’t see the problem here. The article says the 4 younger Rooneys may be worried about tax implications down the road.
It is only Dan Rooney who has come out and endorsed Obama.
The other brothers have not endorsed anyone.
So there is no hypocrisy, as the biftime original poster tried to charge.
