Paging Senator Government (Vanity)

Posted on 10/15/2008 9:15:19 PM PDT by parksstp

I know there's a lot of vanities for the debate and this might get hacked out (sorry in advance to the mods) but I am just so happy that Senator McCain came to play ball tonight and decided to take BHO to the woodshed.

My horror came after watching FOX post-debate analysis and Barnes and Kristol throw him under the bus. I have to say, up to now I had problems understanding Rush's attacks against them as "beltway insiders" but now I understand. And Krauthamer's remarks that "Reagan couldn't even beat Obama in a debate" is pure nonsense. If all the debate is about style, why have one? I have no doubt we are winning this thing now. And after we do, it's time to clean house.

McCain may not be the most articulate person, but he got out the points he needed to. Now its up to us. Joe the Plumber has helped turned the economy issue in a way favorable for McCain. And his accidental slip "Senator Government" needs to be a new sticking point.

All these commentators care about is style. That’s what they judge on. Nothing else matters to them. On style it was a push. On points and substance, McCain cleaned his clock.

Agreed.

Obama’s secret to staying so calm is to flat out lie.

WTF? He tried to say he didn’t start his political career in Ayers living room?

or He didn’t vote against the born-alive act?

While nominally conservative, Barnes and Kristol still live in the same media bubble as Katie Couric and Chris Matthews.

They can’t relate to real people with real issues. They posture and try to sound smarter than everyone else no matter which side of the fence they’re on - and they’re always acutely aware of how they are being perceived.

Frankly, Brit Hume, who is a decent journalist with some integrity, needs to clean house. Nina Easton can stay, but the rest of this old panel needs to go. They love to listen to the sound of their own voice, but I’m getting sick of hearing the same old pundits and posturing.

Fox needs to wake up.

He is no different than a used car salesman. He will also say the mileage is low, the oil has been change, and ignore the ‘as is, no warranty’ sign.

I’m sorry, Brit, but you were just wrong when you said 0bama kept his cool.

The split screen showed he was visibly shaken when McCain was eating his lunch! He was makin’ little kid faces, flashing instant phony smiles, biting inside his mouth, rolling his eyes, and perspiring. He was sooo po’d when McCain started talking, he immediately started writing, and tightening his mouth.

Did you see the look on his face when McCain said “Woods Foundation”? Hah! I’ll bet he whispered to Michelle when she came up on stage that he needed a new pamper!

I only wish they had a camera under the table so we could see him tap his foot, too.

How many “Uh’s” do you think 0bama said? About 21, I think, then he would start spinning his lies.

You and Kristol must’ve been jibber-jabbing, cause we saw a different debate than you guys did.
