“Trump endorsed Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain, Ariz. One of the reasons the real estate tycoon chose McCain is he said he thought McCain was a brilliant and tough guy and said he thought he had the ability to “persuade” OPEC to lower oil prices.

“Well, I think that if you look at experience and if you look at lots of other factors,” Trump said on CNN’s Sept. 30 “American Morning.” “But I also happen to know him, he’s a brilliant guy, he’s a tough guy, he’s a strong guy and we need that. In particular, we need that with respect to OPEC. We need somebody to go over to OPEC and explain – and they don’t even have to go over, frankly – and explain exactly what’s going on. You know, if you have a store and I have a store and we set prices and we fix prices, I will tell you that we all get put in jail.”

During the Blitzer interview, Trump also pledged his support for GOP vice presidential nominee Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin – who he said would be strong on economic issues.”

All those nice comments about McCain and Palin are trumped (pun intended) by him saying Bush should've been impeached. THAT is the headline that the MSM will latch onto and which will be blasted in every story around the nation. Trump certainly didn't help McCain by damaging Bush further, because in the eyes of the American people they are still linked no matter how far McCain tries to distance himself.
