Not that smart since he supports abortion and embryonic stem-cell research, but is against the death penalty. Sounds like his biggest disability is that he's a liberal on those issues.
Two young-uns on post-debate Greta saying McCain won.
The best way in the world to get an idea across is through music. As far as taxes, of those voting today, many of them don’t understand the tax structure well enough to get it. I wish there were a way to simply and clearly get the message across.
Seeing two people on TV right now. They don’t understand. AT ALL. Kid made the comment that McCain wants to help the whole country and Obama only wants to help 95%.
We are not trying to reach people like ourselves, and we need to get the message to them. College kids even, do not understand.
Poor Josephine the Plumber. She wants pay equity with her male counterparts, and Bambi promises her that, but then he forgot to tell her he was going to tax her plumbing business at the same rate as the men.
OK here are my thought. First you just know that Saturday Night Live writers have to be licking their chops with the Joe The Plummer (maybe in their skit Joe The Plummer will be the moderator). I thought McCain did well. He bought up the issues he probably anted to bring up. This Joe The Plummer issue might help Mc Cain run his populace campaign. Obama did probably what he wanted to do. Overall if I were the McCain campaign I would feel good about the evening inspite of what the Inside the Beltway Fox News folks thought.
I just saw that.......BOTH leaning McCain right now......YEAH!
Both those young people said they were leaning toward McCain. That’s good.
Lynn Rothchilds is a great spokeperson for McCain. I wish they could get her out on the comapign trail with them. She called the 95% “tax cut” exactly what it is. Paraphrased - The 40% who do not pay taxs will be getting a wealfare check. Middle class will have to help pay for that.
Due to expected record turnouts
All republicans will vote on November 4
and all democrates will vote on November 5
Please make an appropriate note on your calender.
Good job, Mike. Soldier on.
A democrat, a Hillary supporter to be exact Lynne De Rothschild, just gave the best explanation of Obamas 95% tax cut that I have heard on TV. On Greta’s show she calmly explained that 40% of workers will get a welfare check and raising taxes on 5% of Americans can’t pay for that. She is a very smart lady.
Now for the bad news. This lady is by far the best representative the Republicans have in explaining Obama tax cut scam and she is a Democrat.
Lord help us.
When they said this was the last debate. I said YEA!!!!!!!
That sounds like an argument to vote for Obama, since McCain isn’t conservative enough.
Do you want Fox to disappear, so we have no voice whatsoever?
Would you like to have a socialist as a President?
Pretty stark choices, don’t you think?
“The swing in different states is very interesting. I can see why he is fighting so hard in Iowa as well as Pennsylvania, and it is fascinating the Obama is farther ahead in NYS than he is in Illinois.. Illinois is actually very close.”
At least some voters in Illinois probably “get” the similarity between Obama and Gov. Blagojevich in many areas, and they recognize why Illinois has been tanking both economically (I mean before the current worldwide financial problems) and the State of Illinois (gov’t finances / budget) has been in bad shape and getting worse for some time. Blago is bankrupting Illinois.
As far as ethics go - yeccchhhh. We went from one crook in IL (George Ryan) to an even worse one.
I finally DVR’d through FOX’s post-debate analysis including Krauthammer’s comments. I got a different impression than expressed here. I think they flattered Obama but also gave McCain important advice. The personal attacks against Krauthammer are idiotic and shortsighted.
They say that Obama doesn’t have to do anything special, he just needs to glide through these events. I’m not sure that’s a compliment. On the other hand, McCain needs to do more to sell his ‘better’ positions. Time is McCain’s problem.
It was McCain’s best night.
Lynn has been very eloquent and clear in discussing the obama tax cuts......why can’t McCain make it that simple. When I discuss it with my friends I use Lynn’s explanation and they UNDERSTAND easily.....and they don’t like obama redistribution of wealth plan.
Jinx!
McCain won this debate and why the MSM wants to skew it seems somewhat dubious. I think Obama darn near said you win.
God only knows why McCain keeps leaving the 95 percent argument on the table. People won’t like the welfare result.
Be careful! they might be wearing the mask because they think it’s really scary!
I went as John Frankenkerry in 2004...
