Nothing unclear about it, Senator McCain was joking with Glenn, who had asked him is he was going after the ‘mouse’ vote (ACORN registered Minnie Mouse) and McCain said, no, I prefer Goofy, another Disney character. :-)

I know it was a joke. (Some people can tell them, some can’t.) But that “sentence” is only one example from the transcript where it really appears that the Senator was having trouble keeping on point and his syntax shows it.

Either that or the transcriber was trying to make him look “erratic”. (Now where have I heard that word before?)

I thought it was a flat fee to ACORN of $420 written into all mortgage constracts, due to legislation passed in the summer.

GB had stated that it was $424 on a $100k mortgage. No idea if it is flat fee or pro-rated @ 0.424%

No. The final one will give $424 on a $100k mortgage directly to community organizations like ACORN.
