I’ve been wondering why some of the dirt is coming out now. Do they feel pretty confident that the fix is in, so it’s safe to report a little of this now?

LOL!! Not a chance. If the election were held tomorrow, McCain/Palin would win.
There are a lot of reasons why the drive-bys and old fish wraps are beginning to report things now [with reluctance]. But as for new media — a lot of us were more concerned about Hillary. We needed to make certain that she didn’t pull a coup in the primary.
Oh but please don’t get me wrong, the Washington Times is a very independent minded paper.
