We are indeed pleased. He’s 9 years old, and has been with only ONE human caretaker all that time. Animals amaze me sometimes. He seems to understand, and he’s accepted us as his new family. He’s really a very sweet cat.

Oh, that’s easy.
1/2 lb of bacon browned in a large frying pan.
Leave the drippings and remove bacon to “crisp” on paper towel.Snip into pieces after it cools.
Chopd 3 apples, any kind you like into thin slivers, skins on. Then add them to the saved bacon drippings and cook until just through, but still crisp.
Remove from pan.
Microwave 4 large sweet potatoes 5 minutes each, skins on, and then cut into bit size pieces. Cook in drippings for 5 minutes and then add back the other incredients plus salt and pepper and cook for an additional 5 minutes or so.
Toss ingredients together.
You can make it all ahead and then microwave to reheat.
Its nice and subtle, but very good.
