The Federal Trade Commission said Tuesday that it has busted a global spam network responsible for sending billions of illegal messages encouraging consumers to buy unsafe male-enhancement and weight loss pills.
The FTC, which handles the civil aspect of illegal spam cases, asked the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois to issue a temporary injunction against two men in New Zealand and Texas, prohibiting them from sending spam and making false product claims. The court also froze their assets, which may eventually be returned to consumers who bought the drugs. Authorities in New Zealand are pressing their own case against the New Zealand man's brother, who is also accused of participating in the spam operation.

I always wondered who is dumb enough to buy viagra from a spam email that has every other word misspelled to get through your spam blocker.
What is their thinking: “Wow this must be legit because they went to the effort to make it through my junk mail filter. I can’t really understand what they are selling but it must be important becuase they went to the effort to contact me.”

Well that explains why I couldn’t hit that 4 hour mark. I wasn’t just going to call my doctor, I was going to call EVERYONE!!!

I didn’t think so.
A lot of them just start again later.
The last few days I was wondering how come I was getting much less spam than I used to.

Judging from the ones that get past my filters, it must be that they trust themselves, since the spoofed address is their own.
If you can't trust buying from "yourself", who can you trust?

Twice? Heck, my pets would be in danger.
I reduced our spam at work by nearly 1/2 by preventing emails from .RU (Russia) and .NZ (New Zealand) from reaching us.
