Dead people. Fake people. Cartoon characters.
Now, it looks like Obama supporters are going after unsuspecting credit card fraud victims, too. Better check your Visa and Amex bills twice:
A North Kansas City couple has been left scratching their heads after they became the victims of a political scam.
Steve and Rachel Larman say a strange credit card charge appeared on their statement this month a $2300 donation to Barack Obamas presidential campaign. The Larmans say they dont want this to be about their political affiliation, but they say theyre not about to give the Obama campaign any help from their pocketbook.
They said they notified Chase, their credit card bank, to report the fraud.
(They) said that they had seen-they were familiar with this, said Steve Larman. It was fraud, they believe through telemarketing but they were going to be doing some more investigations.
The Larmans dont want their politics to enter into what is essentially just a fraudulent charge. But they say that the charge involves the Obama campaign adds insult to injury for the registered Republicans.
They (Chase) kept on asking me are you sure you wouldnt have gone to a site in support of Obama, said Rachel Larman. And I repeatedly said Im voting for McCain - I would not be going to an Obama site.
Chase dropped the charge from the Larmans card. The couple is thankful thay they caught the charge on the card, but worried that others may not see that type of fraud on their own credit cards before its too late.
Great. Corupt campaign using stolen money to pay a corupt organization to buy fake votes. move along, nothing to see here.
Ping!
0bama cheats.
Does 0bama steal, too?
What else is 0bama lying about?
This should be reported to law enforcement, possibly the FBI. The bank ought to be able to trace the transaction to see where the money went.
So, I guess you’re agreeing with me. Bush is a coward and has been neutered by the press.
Just spreading the wealth
My credit card # was stolen 2 month ago. It was used to send donations to obama.
Scams are going on everywhere
My wife's debit card was a target of 5 different charges at total of $1012 done or processed same night between 2AM and 4:30AM, yet the local Walgreen store closes at 10PM!!!
So does the Obama campaign get to keep the money anyway? Or does it have to be returned?
They should notify the FBI. The FBI has a tip window on their web site. This is a felony.
bkmk
Yes. According to the article, the credit card company wrote off the debt. Other peoples interest rates will pay it off. Because of the write off, this felon managed to steal from every credit card holder in the country.
What do you think redistribution of wealth to organizations like ACORN and Planned Parenthood is?
The involuntary exchange of my hard earned money to criminal organizations and people that dismember and burn innocent human babies is stealing for deplorable causes.
Right out of the old Larouche playbook....
Birds of a feather....
Lengthy televised infomercials to boot.
Then they’d hang up on you.
Demand to speak to their supervisor and you get “There’s none available” or “they’re in a meeting”.
If you threaten to cancel yopur card then they transfer you to some card retention idiot who tries to cajole you into keeping your card open.
When I cancelled my BofA Visa when they got caught giving credit to illegals I had to deal with all the idiots who tried to justify what they were doing and that somehow I was being a bigot for cancelling my card.
Think about this for a minute. The people at Chase want to support the Obama campaign but they are only allowed
to donate whatever the max contribution is. They charge a customers account $2300.00. When challenged, they remove
the charge from the customers account, but leave the money in Obamas pocket.
The customer may indeed be credited by Chase, but who is making sure that Chase isn’t just using this as a ploy to exceed their maximum allowable political contribution?
I agree notify the FBI and file criminal charges. Do it immediately.
