ACORN profiling might also extend to its mortgage activities. Read on.

SPREADING THE VIRUS; HOW ACORN & ITS DEM ALLIES BUILT THE MORTGAGE DISASTER
(sap-happy do-gooder liberal decide getting a mortgage is civil right even if you don't qualify)

FR POSTED

EXCERPT By STANLEY KURTZ, NY POST----To discover the roots of to day's economic crisis, consider a tale from 1995. That March, House Speaker Newt Gingrich was scheduled to address a meeting of county commissioners at the Washington Hilton. But, first, some 500 protesters from the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) poured into the ballroom from both the kitchen and the main entrance. Hotel staffers who tried to block them were quickly overwhelmed by demonstrators chanting, "Nuke Newt!" and "We want Newt!"

Jamming the aisles, carrying bullhorns and taunting the assembled county commissioners, demonstrators swiftly took over the head table and commandeered the microphone, sending two members of Congress scurrying. The demonstrators' target, Gingrich, hadn't yet arrived - and his speech was cancelled. When the cancellation was announced, ACORN's foot soldiers cheered.

Editorial writers from Little Rock to Buffalo condemned ACORN's action as an affront to both civility and freedom of speech. Editorialists also pointed out that the "spending cuts" the protesters railed against were imaginary - Gingrich proposed merely to slow the growth in some welfare programs and turn control back to the states.

Yet ACORN had only just begun. Two days later, 50 to 100 of the same protesters hit their main target - a House Banking subcommittee considering changes to the Community Reinvestment Act, a law that allows groups like ACORN to force banks into making high-risk loans to low-credit customers. --SNIP--

Still pushing to protect junk mortgages at any cost: ACORN continues to march and rally to get Congress to support its radical agenda, as with this demonstration in Washington, DC, in March.

It’s not a crime, but acting in a partisan manner will eliminate their tax status and grant eligibility.

I would encourage STINGS — on video and -— where they have people identify themselves as Republicans and see if they refuse.

Even phone calls:

Caller: “Hi, I need help to register to vote, but am disabled. Will you help?”

A: Sure

Caller: “Does it matter that I am Republican? I can’t stand Obama. Will you still help?”

A: FU

Etc.

Get good tape and video. Set them up.

I called Pelosi’s office in DC yesterday and got one of her brainwashed moron staffers on the telephone. I asked him what Pelosi was going to do about the voter fraud and all I got was evasive BS. Call Pelosi’s office and ask for one of the brainwashed morons and maybe you will get the same one. 202-225-3121

Pelosi’s office acted like they’ve never heard of ACORN and told me to call my local law enforcement if I know of any voter fraud. I told this moron that it’s all over TV. Again, he appeared clueless and said he couldn’t respond for the speaker. If he can’t respond for the Speaker, then I suggest he leave his job that taxpayers are paying for. Welcome to the Liberal asylum that used to be called the USA!

Profiling is considered a serious crime.

By whom? What law are you referring to?

I watched a few minutes of a presser by an ACORN troll who said they ID’ed suspect registrations before turning them in but he said there were very few of these. He went on to say the numbers had been exaggerated by racist partisan Republicans and were a despicable attempt to invalidate legitimate black voters!

I’m sure that the ACORN scumbags make sure that they do not register Republicans (or they may register a modest % of Republicans just so that they can continue the pretence that they are non-partisan). I wonder if someone can access statistics for how many Democrats they register vs. how many Republicans? They are a “non-profit” because they are supposed to be “non-partisan” (big joke), so if it can be proved that they work on behalf of the Democrats (which we all know, but it needs to be proved in a court of law or with the IRS, etc.) then it’s a big deal..... except that ‘Rat and RINO bureaucrats will try hard not to do anything about it.

The Feds should shut down ACORN and invalidate all registrations done by them this year - and put out a loud public notice:
“If you registered to vote through an ACORN worker, your registration is invalid. You must go to your local precinct and register - NOW.”

yeah, right. The riot minions would be unleashed

The Las Vegas Sun is reporting that several Acorn people were convicted of identity theft in the past. It makes one wonder if that was a requirement to be on their curriculum vitae during the job search.
