I’m in Mississauga, and in the riding where Wajid Khan crossed the floor from Lib to Tory and is running for re-election. He has an excellent chance and ran a good campaign. The suburbanites work hard and want to hold on to what they have. As for the 416 (core Toronto) - they voted for Mayor Miller who thinks that all handguns come from the evil USA, and then wonders why we’re losing their tourist $$. Toronto has the university kids, the effite socialites, and marxist intellectuals. It also has the recipients of light sentences and welfare programs. Don’t forget the arts community who hate Harper because he wants to end their freebees. The upshot is they drank the koolaid and see red downtown.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
But what about the “leafy” suburbs. Any shift there, economic stability has to be a concern there?
