Monday, officials in the battleground state of Ohio heard testimony from voters about the organization.
In one Ohio county, ACORN submitted at least 65,000 questionable cards.
One witness said they were told they would be given $1 and some cigarettes to sign a voter registration card.
Earlier this month, a search warrant served in Las Vegas stated that ACORN required its employees to get 20 new registrations a day or forgo a paycheck.
Don’t you speak differently, depending on the forum in which you are speaking? i know i do. i think the gosh darns and you betchas are perfectly appropriate for the campaign trail, and i am willing to bet she spoke somewhat differently when meeting the world leaders at the UN in NYC, and i am confident that she is a smart enough, accomplished enough politician to know how to speak to different constituencies.
Apology accepted. Thank you for being decent. We can start over. :)
Thanks for getting my back, though. You rock.
That's just for 1 county. A local radio personality said Acorn has turned in 650,000 registrations in Ohio.
You know there are many here that would run into a burning building to defend your honor on any given day.

I disagree about charm school. I think America may be ready for someone to make good decisions about American. I’m sick and tired of “new tone”, milquetoast, politically correct, namby pambys like Bush and McCain who put their wet finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing. If there is nothing one believes in passionately enough to defend vigorously then one has no credible belief system. In fact, so-called bipartisanship has gotten the Pubbie Party nowhere.
In any case, 80% of Alaskans thinks Gov. Palin’s just right.
