Dave Camp is my Congressman. He voted for the bailout.

Who is yours? Rogers?

"But here’s the real problem. Real conservatives voting for people like Ford, the first Bush, Dole, the second Bush, ‘cause that’s all we had to vote for and that just gives the “blue bloods” more power. We should stand up and say “Nominate a RINO and we’re going somewhere else.”

I agree - spot on! That brings up the [flame attracting] "Third Party" subject. Democrats, Republicans & Conservatives [Constitution-Conservative Party? Reagan Conservative Party? Heritage-Conservattive Party?]

We have "Conservatives". They are few in numbers in the Senate and more in the House (just because of the numbers factor).

Senator Jim DeMint is one and john Thune is another. Ex-Senators Rick Santorum, George Allen and Fred Thompson. Senate-hopefuls were/are Pat Toomey, Katherine Harris, and Michael Steele are a few other names.

There are the House Republicans that stayed in the House with lights and cameras out for the energy bill up/down vote and then recently the NO-HELL NO on the bailout. Those that caved like Eric Cantor and others: out...

Now, we all like the Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo and those of this character and caliber...

The question now is: How do "Conservatives" get the "true conservatives" to leave the "Moderate Republican Party" the "Centrist Republican Party" the "Country Club Blue Blood RINO Party" and join the "Conservative Party" that we so desperately need to overtake the other two? Plus, if race comes into it, then we need 'people of color' that fit the above description. [J. C. Watts/Michael Steele types].

I know it may be wishful thinking, but as Reagan said "I didn't leave the Democratic Party, it left me". True Conservatives no longer have the Democratic or Republican Party. Therefore, prehaps there must be a new and seperate Conservative Party for us Conservatives. The reason is, "a house dived against itself cannot stand." The Republican Party cannot be of any use if it's both liberal and conservative! One cancels out the other. Remember the Republican majority in both houses? RINOS [moderates/centrists] like John Warner, Lincoln Chafee, Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, Arlen Specter, Jim Jeffords, Voinovich, Lott, Hagel and others were what kept the good judges from being voted up or down; good bills and legislation on energy, ethics, etc. sent over from the House to be killed. It was NEVER a true "Conservative" majority in the Senate...but barely was slightly more in the House.

End of rant............

Now why aren’t you allowed to vote? A screw up at the elections bureau? Even if they can’t find your records they should be able to give you a provisional ballot.

Oh yeah! The man who knocked-off Rino-Schwartz. The one I take a shine to now is Thaddeus McCotter. He has been making some great noises lately.

Naw, on this one, Rush is drinking the liberal Koolaid.

“Where are these Democrats voting for McCain?” What, PUMA means nothing? What about the so-called “racist” Democrats who will never vote for Obama? What about the bitter clingers? All of these folks add up to nothing? Granted, they’re more anti-Obama than pro-McCain (though more than a few might be pro-Palin), but they’re not nothing.

C’mon Rush, take a pill and quit believing the skewed polls. I thought his show today was especially lackluster.

What bothers me about the McCain salvoes against the bad ship ObaHamas is McCain handlers’ errors of omission in the critique against the marxist messiah.

Today in Virginia Beach (my hometown), McCain had a great chance to hit the ball out of the park. Instead, he settled for a single, if that.

Now, your in Virginia Beach, home to the Oceana Naval Air Station, Damn Neck, and Little Creek Amphibious Base, and you don’t mention a word that ObaHamas has called for tens of billions of dollars in defense cuts? Why? I listened to the whole speech and it touched on some hotbutton conservative issues. But how do you fail to mention an item(military spending) that is a bedrock issue on which the whole Tidewater community is dependent? Not to mention the fact that ObaHamas running mate voted against the Reagan defense buildup, strategic defense initiative, and all of the weapons programs that has helped to make the US military the dominant force that it is.

I can see where you might ignore plugs biden, but to ignore the 800 pound gorilla in the room (ie defense spending) while in an area with an inordinate amount of retired and active duty military personnel is a gross dereliction of duty of the McCain strategic thinkers.

I am not a political tactician or a thematic strategic thinker, but I can see the McCain campaign deficiencies, and if I can see them, they (the grand poohbahs of the McCain campaign) should be able to see them and take corrective measures.

Funny, the purists seem to hate Obama and his leftist ways a helluva lot more than Mccain seems to.

But the purists are telling McCain to kick the commie in the teeth and are feeding him ammo to do so on a daily basis.

It is the dumbshit moderates like Frum - who goes on Morning TV shows to bitch and moan about Palin; and Kristol - whose NY Times editorial today is telling Mccain to stop the attacks and ditch his entire campaign staff; and Kathleen Parker whose entire existence these days is spent in a jealous rage against Palin; and David Brooks - who called Mccain’s VP selection a “cancer on the Republican party” etc etc etc

McCain called the Swiftboat veterans for Truth “dishonest and dishonorable”.

Very few people can stand the guy.

Very few people can stand the guy.

Yeah I felt the same way, but started warming up more to him after his convention speech.

But regardless, I wish Rush wouldn't have spent so much time today telling Kristol "I told you so" (which is what he was doing).

Instead of bringing everyone down with that stuff, Rush needs to give conservatives some heart by exposing the ridiculous over-weighting of the poll samples with Democrat and black respondents. Instead, it seems Rush actually believes the Newsweek and WaPo polls.

At least Hannity finally talked about these fantasy polls during his show. C'mon people, you're all falling for the same old Democrat polling tricks!

"Now why aren’t you allowed to vote?"

Well, you can read #12 again...or the following. I'll repeat again.

I was in the Clerk's office to enter a change of address in the voter registration record. Who can prove as to why they refused to take the form back? I'm a man. I also had my wife and kids with me, BTW. ...seen problems for social reasons (man with family,...) many times in private offices and other public offices. And of course, they'll deny that any of it happened.

It was not any deviation of perception on my part, either. My wife was angry. My teens learned a new "civics" lesson. We waited for about a half hour after filling out the form. We were the only customers there at the time. Some clerical workers there smirked. Others seemed bothered and were frowning.

"A screw up at the elections bureau? Even if they can’t find your records they should be able to give you a provisional ballot."

They found our record at the County Clerk's office. They simply didn't want the form for changing our address back, after I filled it out. ...checked the "Republican" box again just to be sure, and I've been a registered Republican for a long time.

And BTW, they're not all Democrats. When men who've served (even as lowly combat line National Guard "males") are not allowed to register to vote or keep their addresses current in those registrations, our Nation (and certainly the Republican Party) is done and doesn't know it, yet.

"McCain called the Swiftboat veterans for Truth “dishonest and dishonorable”."

I didn't know that. Such snobbery is disgusting. The Party is running a woman with him for vice president. What's with that? They certainly don't even care as to whether or not conservative working family men are registered to vote (as we've seen in this thread). What goes through the minds of our contemporary leaders?

Here. We'll look at a photo of one of them, and try to imagine their thinking.

Kristol of all people.

I don’t get it and I never will.

There is nothing good to say about Obama. Why can’t they just discuss the issues against O and stop attacking McCain.

“But the vets really love [Bush]. That’s why we had those 527 Swiftboat Ads.”

I have to disagree. The swiftboat guys really hated Kerry. See if you can find the old appearance of John (I think it’s John) O’Neil arguing with Kerry on the old Dick Cavett show. He just had a totally justified vendetta against Kerry, and in the end O’Neil prevailed. Hooray! But I’m pretty sure they would have fought against Kerry regardless of who his opponent was.

I watched that video somewhere during the campaign. I guess it might be on Youtube, but did Youtube even exist 4 short years ago?

Anyway, sorry to ramble on, but it was an angle to that whole swiftboat story that was, and remains, unmentioned by the MSM. No surprise there, of course!

I find McCain’s message far more coherent than your incessant, juvenile spam that appears on virtually every thread.
