Yesterday, as I was going into a Chinese grocery store in downtown Cleveland, a Muslima was leaving. She was in full regalia! Black tent, black headscarf, very arab features. As she drove away, I noticed the bumper stickers on her car. “McCain/Palin” 4 stickers! Needless to say, I was quite surprised!
I had a Sunni youtube pal email me and said secretly that many moderate Arab Sunnis want McCain because they want an American president w/ some cajones who will stand up to Iran.
The trend has since adjusted...but in 2000 Muslims and Arab-Americans voted overwhelmingly for President Bush.
