Here is my idea to combat voter fraud. When a voter registers for the first time they MUST do so in person, no one else can do it for you. You submit your SS number, picture ID,fingerprints etc. They then issue you, after verification of your ID, a plastic card much like a debit card. It would have a Pin that only you know. When you vote you swipe it in a card reader and you are handed your ballot if your id is verified. Absentee ballots only to be given to Military personnel and people living overseas, plus those that are really going to be absent from their precinct on the day of the election. If a state has early voting the voters must still use their voter ID card to verify their ID.
No motor voter, no same day registration and voting, absentee(except military and people actually living out of country)must swear, under penalty of law, that they are really going to be out of their precinct on election day.
I’d still like to go back to paper ballots personally. Did you know that Hugo Chavez actually OWNS one of the Voting Machine Manufacturing and Supply companies that sells voting machines - some will be used in THIS ELECTION!
I don’t care how long it takes - a paper ballot in which you can readily see who you vote for is worth the hassle, IMHO.
