While 95% turnout or more would raise suspicions, there were counties and precints in 2004 that had over 100% participation. I remember this being reported on the news after the election. Does anyone else remember this? It may have been in King county in Washington (Seattle area), but I really don’t remember exactly where it was.

I don't remember that, but if that were the case I would think a district attorney would be forced to investigate.

I remember. But the votes counted because there was no way to figure out which were fraudulent. Suspicious yes. Remedy, no. That's why its important to stop the fraudulent voting before it starts. Positive voter identification and federal, deputized, poll watchers.

Philadelphia.

Funny how overall, the Dem turnout in Philly was double what is typical. Must be SO patriotic there... </sarc>

"The unexamined belief that an ever-higher rate of voter registration is a Good Thing has met its limit in the center of the state that this year is the center of the political universe -- Ohio. The U.S. Census Bureau's 2003 estimate is that in Franklin County -- Columbus -- there are approximately 815,000 people 18 or over. But 845,720 are now registered." --George F. Will, Oct 24, 2004
