Obama's Weatherman shows which way the wind blows
The Australian ^ | October 13, 2008 | Mervyn Bendle

THE seemingly inevitable ascent of Barack Obama to become US president has hit a hurdle, as he is forced to confront accusations, supported by a hard-hitting television ad campaign, that he had a long-time association with two of America's leading terrorists from the 1960s, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, one-time leaders of the Weathermen (also known as the Weather Underground).

It is not in dispute that Obama began his political career in 1995 at the home of Ayers and Dohrn, when his sponsor (herself on the far left of the Democratic Party and a champion of the Soviet Union as late as 1986) arranged for him to meet some influential leftists and potential campaign supporters and contributors who could launch his career.

In the best-selling expose The Obama Nation (2008), Jerome Corsi reports that one of the attendees at this launch recalls how Ayers and Dohrn introduced Obama as "the best thing since sliced bread".

Subsequently, "the record shows that connections between Obama and Dohrn have actively continued since Obama launched his political career in their living room in 1995".

That's because we should really be calling the MSM, the DNC propaganda wing.

There also needs to be coverage of Bernardine Dohrn. Google or Wikipedia her comments on the Tate murders. Just don't eat for the day before.

‘Unrepentent terrorist’ doesn’t sound as bad as it is. Ayers is an Insurgent. He supported an Insurgency in America. He used Violence to attack political foes. People ended up dead - just like an unsuccessful suicide bomber in Israel who blows himself up. Ayers is a well polished Bomber.

Dohrn’s quote about the murders is in the posted article:

“Dig it. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, then they shoved a fork into a victim’s stomach! Wild!”

I had someone ask me tonight what is the difference between Bill Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn and Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols since they all were responsible for bombing Government buildings.

Maybe the McCain campaign should push that to bring into modern day terms because it is the same — all are domestic terrorists with only one getting the death penalty.

Yes, but everything is okay because O says he thought they were "rehabilitated."

Oddly, the people of England and Australia seem to be getting more factual information about the deep ties between Obama and Ayers than Americans are getting. David Axelrod’s claim that Obama wasn’t aware of Ayer’s history is laughable. Obama and Axelrod are going to have to come clean. They also should apologize to Sarah Palin, who’s been attacked for her understated claims of Obama “palling” around with Ayers.

It is mentioned in the article

Similarly with Dohrn. After the Charles Manson-led Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969, Dohrn enthused: "Dig it. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, then they shoved a fork into a victim's stomach! Wild!"

Yes. Dorhn and Michelle also have a chummy relationship that shouldn’t be overlooked.

Extensive archival material, including, photographs, film footage and FBI documents are interwoven with modern-day interviews to trace the group’s path, from its pitched battles with police on Chicago’s streets, to its bombing of the U.S. Capitol, to its successful endeavor breaking acid-guru Timothy Leary out of prison.

Dorhn and Michelle have a history too? I think I read that they worked at the same law firm. I’ll have to read up on this.

You don’t really think that AP, Reuter, the Boston Globe, Houston Chronicle, Kansas City Star, Media Matters, (who btw was founded by Hillary Clinton) Milwaukee Journal Sentinel,
New Republic, Washington ComPost, PBS The News Hour with Jim Lehrer, and CBS would report this?

McCain is finishing this campaign with his hatred of the Republican base intensified, and a burning, white-hot hatred for Sarah Palin, who is certainly now the front-runner for the Republican nomination in 2012, whether McCain is elected or not. (I think that, if elected V.P., she ought to resign by mid-2009.)

If McCain succeeds in being defeated, I think we are in for four years much more dangerous than the four years of Carter. Hyperinflation goes without saying. Russia, China, and Jihad; Ayers-ACORN’s tool in the White House, with billions in federal funding for ACORN et al., with continued focus on destroying the states’ capacity to conduct elections; the IRS will use and abuse its new undercover powers in the bailout bill; tax code will explode in size, becoming ever more incomprehensible, the more easily to entrap virtually any citizen; every conservative think tank, magazine, etc., audited and audited again, and probably more than a few prosecuted; talk radio shut down; internet neutrality enforced; government will encourage left-wing hackers—ACORN will get into hacking in a big way, joined by the Red Chinese, Red Russians, Jihad, etc. The War on Terror will continue as a Potemkin operation, but Obama will use nukes on the Arab world, or on the mainland U.S., if necessary, to quash a REAL Islamic threat to the new American revolution. Paranoia will increase.
