Interesting video of Canadians talking about their health care. Click on link to view...
To the sunny Carribean, of course...
If you're familiar with the Cleveland Clinic, you'll know that one of their greatest exports is healthy foreigners. That includes healthy Canadians.
Socialized medicine would certainly change all that.
bttt
As a Canadian I can tell you guys ITS NOT FREE, WE PAY HEALTH CARE via our Income taxes.....
AND ITS third WORLD HEALTH CARE...DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS US!!!!!
Ping.
But these drugs are simply not available in Canada. Whenever I visit an arthritis message board, there are messages from Canadians, who suffer with moderate to severe arthritis, who are simply dreaming of receiving treatment.
These are the kinds of real-life stories that can persuade non-thinking moderates and liberals of the dangers of socialized medicine.
capital gains tax increases would be even worse than single payer health care as there won’t be any incentive for companies to develop new drugs and technologies.
Canadians have swallowed Socialism hook, line and sinker. Their Gov’t run media, education system and lib elites tell them it’s all OK, and “at least they are not like those brutal Americans” and the Canadians just roll over and take it.
Europe on our doorstep. They are a few years ahead us on showing the emasculating effects of socialism on society.
To my Canadian friends. It's not too late. First, you must regain the right to keep and bear arms...
“Canadians have swallowed socialism hook line and sinker” -—
well, not ALL of us. Most of this socialism crap was shoved down our throats illegally, when we were betrayed by elected “representatives”, Liberals, of course. There were plenty of us who stood up to them, and voted against them. We still do. And if you had been watching our news lately, you will know that we have had a Conservative government in power for a couple of years, although in a minority position. In spite of that, Stephen Harper’s conservatives have ruled as though they were a majority, and have done great things for our country.
In spite of fierce opposition from the liberals and left liberals and left-left liberals, in that short time period Conservatives made good on their election promises. They reduced the GST tax (nationwide goods and services tax) from 7% to 5%. They have cut taxes for seniors by more than $1 billion. They have reduced personal income tax. They have eliminated income tax on student scholarships, fellowships and bursaries. They have created the new Working Income Tax Benefit (another reduction). They have established a new $2,000 Child Tax Credit (without raising taxes, by the way) and created a new $1,000 Canada Employment Credit.
On Tuesday the 14th we vote. I will be working as a Poll Clerk, doing my civic duty, and keeping my fingers crossed for an anticipated Conservative Party win - and which may be by a majority.
If they win, further tax reductions are on the promises list (and he’s kept them all so far) and another goodie is a new $5,000 Tax Free Savings Account, with a further increase to the basic personal exemption level.
So please don’t speak for Canadians, unless you KNOW what we are doing to try and remedy our situation here.
We ALL want to see our Health Care System totally revamped, and I opt for alternative/preventative medicine being given the green light. We have a long way to go to get this problem solved - and of course, we need to use the private sector to do so. DON’T adopt a universal health care system in the U.S. PLEASE!!!!
Unfortunately, we have lived for so long with lefties in power, that it takes time to get us back into the right groove, but — hey !!! Our sleeves are rolled up!!! We’re working on it!
AND WE HAVEN’T ROLLED OVER!!!!!
Great post Border Bud.
Good luck tomorrow.
Perhaps Britain, which still has a private health care system alongside its nationalized system. But of course, it's much less convenient for Canadians to go there than to the US. No wonder why Canadians who are dissastisfied with their own system would prefer that the US not give Obama a chance to bring his plan to fruition.
“If Obamamaniacs socialize US Health care, where will Canadians go then? If you’re familiar with the Cleveland Clinic, you’ll know that one of their greatest exports is healthy foreigners. That includes healthy Canadians.”
Funny that you should mention that. The Cleveland Clinic now HAS an outpatient triage center in Toronto for Canadians desparate to get decent heathcare.
