Several things. It is alleged that Ed Hale, an avid Hillary supporter, has confirmed that he has in his possession a certified copy of a Kenyan birth certificate for Obama. This was reported by several posts I have read. Ed Hale's site and his radio station have been removed and it is stated that they were shut down for security reasons. Another posting I came across alleges that Phil Berg would neither confirm nor deny the report and that everything is being kept hushed for security reasons and that Phil Berg will not respond unitl he has had the opportunity to produce such in a hearing.
If the above is true, questions will swirl around the authenticity. I would presume it true, false birth documents will crop up as alleged proof Obama was born in Hawaii and alleged witnesses will be made avaialbe.
The law suit provides little by way of sound evidence except for the alleged dcoument from the Jakarta school. If that document is real, then other questions are raised as to whether Obama is a natural born citizen or a naturlaized citizen , the former making him elligible for Presidency, the latter would not. The arguments in the pleadings and in the last answer provided by Plaitiff Berg are very interesting in that they name a place for the birth. And, it is alleged the hospital name is known.
So there are actually two issues or avenue of attacks: 1. Obama was not born in the States and despite his mother being a citizen, she did not meet the rules for her child to be a citizen; and 2.) He lost natural born citizen status by virtue of the Indonesion citizenship, dual citizenship was not allowable due to the Hague convention rules and then there is no ability to become a natural born citizen thereafter, rather ownly a naturalized citizen.
Finally, Obama stated when applying for the Illinois bar that he never had any aliases. And he indicated publicly that he never was a muslim and never practiced such or studied such. If the Indonesion document is correct, then he lied on his bar application and he lied about his religion which would raise serious questions as to why. My gut is there is something here or Obama would have simply provided what was necessary. As an attorney, I cannot see any benefit from stonewalling, hiding behind legal maneuvering and why it is that he would not want to simply be transparent and end the controversy with the required documentation to prove thaht he meets the requirements to be President of the United States.

I wondered that,too. I also have a dumb question..would the CIA be involved in the Kenya investigation?

But evidently there is no formal step where a candidate for the presidency must provide proof of citizenship to an agency of the federal government, before entering the race. All the disputes surrounding Obama seem to be among private citizens, and there is no government agency which has documents provided by Obama that would end the dispute - apparently.
Seems people just declare and run for president, unless it is known for certain that they are not natural born citizens, such as with Arnold or Henry Kissinger.
If it were a Hollywood script, a “fictional” draft on this election cycle would be rejected for not being believable because it is too full “crescendo events”!
NOBODY has this much dirt on them and continues to remain a viable candidate!
It’s gone beyond the political thriller genre plot—we’re into sci-fi -—or some other non-parallel dimension.
I enjoy this topic, but i just wish people would stop posting the same thing over & over. i can’t keep up. :(

Update 2, 10/12/08 10:40 AM ET: Since originally posting this story Saturday, Atty. Philip Berg’s office informed us that they cannot discuss this matter due to pending litigation, which is understandable. They also informed us that Berg is NOT collaborating with Ed Hale, moderator of a site, “Hillary Clinton Supporters for John McCain” and host of a radio show. We have had no direct contact with Ed Hale, and have no idea whether he’s truthful or not. Whether or not the “tip” we received is accurate, only time will tell. At this time, we have no further independent verification. However, the reason we published this story and the reason we will keep the story on this blog is that the language in Berg’s filing — which is a matter of public record — is specific about the Kenyan birth place, and we assume that the claim is based on something besides wishful thinking.
Does Obama have 425 million to pay back to his donors?

This whole election is insane. The fact that a nobody can run for president and not be questioned about his past. Raises tons of money and not be questioned where it came from. Have the media in his pocket and not be questioned why. Have voter fraud in every state and it’s allowed to continue. This is the kind of stuff you see in third world countries (Kenya), not America.

We can assume that the Dem side will claim it’s a forgery or contrivance - that’s why time is of the essence now.
